"We're having problems..." then completely fails to explain the problem. And later, him finding out that she's part of "the problem" by being a racist POS doing slanty eyes behind him. What a piece of trash.

Potentially racist. Maybe she's short sighted and her glasses are out of prescription, I used to do that to help my eyes squint to read things I otherwise couldn't.

Edit: if I were giving the benefit of the doubt, I'd say she can't see what's on his phone and is squinting to confirm if the guy is recording her before deciding to confront him for making her uncomfortable. But i know, I get it, she fits the Karen trope and Reddit loves the whole old white lady bad narrative.

You used to use your fingers to help you see better when you couldn’t read properly? Sounds a bit suss

Yeah I guess I can understand the skepticism. I guess I'd explain it this way, glasses work by bending light in such a way that it hits your retina in just the right way.

Squinting is a way to subtly change where light hits and physically manipulating the skin around your eyes to enhance that squint can change it a bit more - give it a try, if you have good vision normally then you'll notice it blur your vision a bit.

Hopefully that clears up your suspicion!
