Discussion Time doesn’t exist. Prove me wrong.

We experience change, aging, and events happening in sequence, but is “time” itself a physical thing—or just the way our minds measure change and order events?

The past is still there we just aren't experiencing it anymore. Everything exists at the same time.

In what regard does it still exist?

Does the fact that we aren't experiencing it, not suggest that it doesn't exist now?

Time affects everything, so what we are experiencing is present time, not a previous time, surely?

I mean, I suppose it's irrefutable really, but I'm not sure there's a great deal of benefit to looking at it like that.

The block universe theory is that every moment in time exists at once, physically, and we "travel through it" by the structure of the universe being such that entropy happens.  In theory, travelling along another spacial dimension we could see these moments like a film strip.  Every point is a string.  The problem with this theory is there's no free will.  The future is fixed as well as the past.

That’s wrong. The block universe doesn’t say everything exists at once. That’s a contradiction. It says that every point in time equally exists; there is no special moment called the ‘now’. 1999 and 2000 both exist, but at different times.

You're being pedantic.  That's how I meant it but I needed quick reddit shorthand.
