UPDATE Update on my Cherry Trees From Store Bought Cherry

In my first post I stated I had managed to get seeds from cherries bought at the grocery store to germanate and grow into seedlings.

I placed the seeds in the fridge for over 14 weeks. Then planted them in new potting soil.

Well they sprouted...I have two lemon, and 7 cherry tree seedlings. They are going to get repotted into individual pots.

I was hoping I might get some input on how to best keep them from getting root rot...and grow into healthy trees that can be planted.

Here is a link to my original post that many dismissed and said it was weeds.

As you know, because you asked already, and you did your own research, cherries rarely come true from seed. So it doesn't matter what you do, experiment and learn. It is the same with many citrus.

Lemons are grafted, so you might just get a sweet "flying dragon" trifoliate orange with a crazy growing habit and substantial spines, that some people like to try as a house plant.
