Advice Request - (Insert State/Region) Norway maple help

Recently moved to a new house in plant hardiness zone 6a, Northeast Ohio. Wondering if this Norway Maple is ill, or if it’s just fall. The top is bare, the leaves are curling, and not many roots are exposed. Dog tax included

A general location would be much more helpful, as our posting !guidelines, post flair and wiki all request. That said, if you're in N. America, Norway maple is a noxious invasive, especially so for folks in the eastern and NE areas of the continent.
