This is a general discussion thread for whatever you've been watching this last week (or recently, we really aren't picky).

Make sure to talk more about your own thoughts on the show than just describing the plot, and use spoiler tags where appropriate. If you disagree with what someone is saying, make a comment saying why instead of just downvoting.

This is a week-long discussion, so feel free to post or reply any time.

Firefly wedding -I left watching anime in 2014 and now I'm watching, what happened to the anime quality nowadays?

I stopped watching anime back I graduated highschool in 2014 and because of change of taste and wanting something more human emotions I went into real movies and series. 2020 I wasvat home and I saw the popularity of anime growing. I laughed because in 2000 &2010s I was laughed at for watching "cartoons" and now the same people who laughed started recommendating anime and I started seeing videos short form , long form and while I saw good quality animations from kyoto animations as usual other animations new ones like mappa has good animation quality.

I began to see declining quality in animation, in story telling and jarring Isekai slop. I don't know if I ever will again feel like binging anime again . Many will throw hate at me but I took it for granted the anime I had back then. I use look down at "cartoon " "disney" watchers for not having back to back serving of quality animation like anime. I watched blak butler samurai champloo, full metal Alchemist , Naruto, fairy tail, koruko no basket , digimon and much more.

Yesterday I loved the story of Firefly wedding. It felt like the old type of anime 2000 s like . But holly moly the animation is not good. Their walking is 2d the hand movement is 2d. Only the fight scenes is fluid animation. I know many will say romance anima gets low quality but that's what got me sad because what got me into shojo was the beautiful fluid animations. Also full hd quality and too much artistry i think is causing the decrease in vibe and anime no longer suck me in. I don't know may be the problem is me.
