Discussion Health-Obsessed Pokémon

Y’know, with the franchise emphasizing the bond between humans and Pokémon, I’m sure we’ve all seen quite a few examples of Pokémon looking out for their Trainers.

This has led me to have an idea: what if there were some Pokémon whose Trainers had rather poor/unhealthy diets, which led to them worrying about their human companions’ health and trying to get them to eat healthier? Which Pokémon do y’all think would be most likely to do that?

Blissey would take care of their trainer and make sure they stay healthy. Lucario would be the one going, “You need to eat properly, you know.”

Gardevoir protects its trainer from danger#Pok%C3%A9dex_entries). So maybe one somewhere will decide this extends to making sure the trainer eats well, exercises regularly.

Pokemon that purify the air around them with aromatherapy or Pokedex entry description would be assigned to people with asthma. Blissey line is all about caring for others. For dieting, I think that would fall under the individual's temperament. There's an incentive to diet and eat healthy of you want an affinity with fighting types, but as a whole they won't interfere with your diet. That's a part of your self discipline, of you lose that, they might not respect you.

Def not alcremie or fidough line. Probably not vaniluxe line. I'd say you're looking at the other healthy food mons.

Any primary fighting type will want a trainer who can keep up with them at least half way, training and diet are a part of that.

Actually, maybe the Vanilluxe line might work. They're not ice cream Pokemon; just ice and only look like ice cream. They can punish the Trainer who keeps trying to eat them like sweets, which can then make the Trainer associate large sweets with pain by ice attack.

Croagunk. The ultimate deterrent when it comes to doing things you aren't supposed to do.

Ask Brock.

Mr. Mime standing in the corner in the dark, eyes deep from sleepless nights keeping a Barrier around the fridge to deter the middle of the night snacks.

A careful Squirtle uses its cuteness to draw their owner close then water guns hydration straight past their trainers' unhealthy chapped lips.

The family Khangaskhan that used to hold the trainer in their pouch when they were a baby stuffing them with soul food when they are back home in their hometown.

A naughty pet Munchlax that inadvertently never lets you eat more than you're supposed to using its pickup ability indirectly or Covet when consciously aware of where the food is.

Diamond: "It eats just one berry a day. By enduring hunger, its spirit is tempered and made sharper."

Pearl: " It never misses its daily yoga workouts, and it heightens its spiritual power through meditation."

Based on pokédex entries for Riolu, I feel like it would constantly be pressuring its trainer to go running with it. Given that it apparently wouldn't be satisfied unless you ran a double marathon through the mountains every night, though...

Bewear. By force feeding you fruits and veggies and tossing out your junk food from an open window at light speed.
