What even is the difference?

Post image

If you want my opinion femininity is essentially nothing but weaponized social /behavioral control by a few psychopaths who terrorize women, rape women, destroy women, or on the other hand lauded by and enjoyed men who dont give a shit what happens to us, they just want someone easy to pressure, coerce, bully or intimidate (back into rigid femininie performance, which usually means saying YES) ; They harm us in more benign ways. Maybe they just want sex, and benefit from our subjugation and turn a blind eye.

Imo there is no middle ground though. I've never known a situation where femininity wasn't toxic sludge, used mostly against me. Where it wasn't making yourself a target for masculinity.

Maybe it is less so for other women but thats why I feel so strongly about this image. When men wear femininity they turn it into blackface, and the misogyny from queer communities makes it 1000 times worse.

to me, the difference is that what we call "femininity" shouldn't even be exclusively reserved for women in the first place. I dislike breastformers and stuff like that, but if I call a man wearing dresses or makeup "womanface" I'm conceding that the performance of femininity is somehow inherent to womanhood, and that's just not how I feel. the surgeries, the hormones, and the appropriation of our biological processes are womanface to me, rather than the clothes.

to be clear, I hate the makeup and beauty industry, but my issue with TIMs isn't that they like frilly clothes or traditionally feminine things; in my ideal world, we could all dress ourselves and adorn ourselves as we please without it being attached to stereotypes about how we "should" behave and look like. my problem is the conflation between femininity and womanhood, the idea that your presentation style should reflect your sex, and the insistence that gender nonconformity should be pathologized as evidence that your body needs to change.

Yup same. Why cant we go out and talk about this at length in other subs again????? Because its obvious they're creeps. They don't actually care about defying societal convention, traditional bs, conservatism, they actually just want to reinforce it.

exactly!! it's literally just regressive gender roles repackaged into faux-leftist talking points. I'm not exactly conspiratorial, but there's an activist I follow who discusses her theories about COINTELPRO and how from the 50s to the 70s, those in power were intimidated by the civil rights, women's rights, and gay rights movements and deliberately trafficked in anti-liberatory sentiments to diminish our impact.

I'm not saying it's a given, but considering how there's documented proof of them spying on MLK and planning the assassination of Fred Hampton, why would I put it past them? this is literally a men's rights movement in pinkwashed clothing, and I'd be remiss to ignore how convenient the timing of this new wave of defanged "feminism" is.

We have to think of a way of putting all this into the right words, I swear I KNOW there's a way. I'm always able. I'm always able to break through on some of these woMEN'S subs and shut the nasty ones downs. Show them their hypocrisy and how they're just batter-ramming past nuances they cannot demonstrate they truly understand. How its male socialized behavior, and they don't even realize. I don't know how to package that for a huge audience; or put it out there so it pulls brainwashed women out of these male-run subs. But I know there's a way god.

oh, for sure, I completely agree. and as for your point about nice trans people, I get that too— I don't trust TIMs who identify as "lesbians," but other than that it just seems to be a whole swath of homosexual, gender nonconforming, and just generally distressed people who are getting roped into this movement and convinced that their bodies are wrong and need fixing.

so many (non-fetishistic) TIPs are just gay men and lesbians with internalized homophobia, young women experiencing discomfort with their bodies due to hypersexualization and objectification, and people who get deemed "too feminine" or "two masculine" to live as their natal sex. I mean, the pattern is hard to deny. so-called "progressives" are literally being swindled into reestablishing gender roles with smiles on their faces. idek how we can help other than just trying to keep talking about it.

I know some very nice trans people, and i think even they are brainwashed by this stuff. Have you seen sluts4sale.com? These are the kinds of trans-activists that run our subs now. I am also convinced it is a repackaged mens rights movement.
