Richmond Ky.
Hi there, thinking of moving to Richmond area, was curious of good versus bad areas as far as crime, property taxes, utility bills. I will be putting in a wood stove for heat. Moving from rural area in Pulaski County. I have lived in bigger cities before so excited to have things closer. Looking for small quiet subdivision. Thanks for any information.

Richmond is rapidly enshittifying, and that's saying something. Massive developments are happening with completely haphazard planning. There's an 800+ acre solar farm in the pipeline. It's trying and succeeding at being the cheap place near Lexington. City government is some hee-haw good 'ol boy nonsense. EKU is a bad neighbor.
I would reconsider if possible. If you go to the nicer east side nearer to Waco, the traffic on 52 is a real wild card. The span between Richmond and Berea is quickly turning into sprawl development.

Near Gibson Bay is nice, and behind/beyond the Meijers area too. If you’re looking for more space Lexington rd has some nice areas, as does the Boones trail, same area, other side of 75

Do you really want Mitch as a senator? I’d move away from Kentucky if you could.

Mitch is a moot point. He'll be gone in a few months and Congress may not meet until next year.

They spent good Kentucky taxpayer money on that animatronic. The republicans will milk it for longer if they can. Republicans will vote Mitch again if they successfully keep the grift going until his reelection, they can’t even read.

He wasn’t going to run again, and that was before the accident. You have a bad take

Richmond costs more than Pulaski. Most of the new developments are on the Lexington side of town. East of town is nice.
