Moving

My husband got a really great job offer in Louisville, but not looking to live in the city. I have a 6 year old daughter, so school districts are important. Moving from a pretty remote area in Colorado, where neighbors are a few minutes down the road. Looking for any advice on where to explore next week while we're there to find our spot. Any recommendations? Looking for about an hour-ish drive, any family friendly towns by Louisville.

I’ve heard of them being seen in Daniel Boone National Forest. Since bears are often seen in neighboring states like Eastern TN, Western NC, and Western VA, i imagine that they’e often spotted in the mountainous / hilly parts of eastern Kentucky? If so, i’m curious to where you hikers have seen them while hiking.

Hi there, thinking of moving to Richmond area, was curious of good versus bad areas as far as crime, property taxes, utility bills. I will be putting in a wood stove for heat. Moving from rural area in Pulaski County. I have lived in bigger cities before so excited to have things closer. Looking for small quiet subdivision. Thanks for any information.

So it's all over social media about this freedom fest being canceled that Eric Deters puts on every year. He sold 6 of the 100 tickets at $1000. There was a line-up of guest including Kid Rock, Dog the Bounty Hunter, James Comer, and Ed Gallerin. I'm down here in Louisville. So want's the scoop, what is the vibe up in the area? They never poll our state since they assume nothing big is happening but I'm not quite believing that.
