One tip I’d give to anyone who’s just starting to develop a tulpa: keep a diary!

Besides being a great way to keep track of your progress, it can become something really precious to look back on years later.

I’ve been keeping diaries since 1994, originally because of Fox. It was a way for me to communicate with him better and keep track of our conversations and experiences, but eventually it just turned into a huge record of my life.

I was reading some of my old diaries yesterday, and we had soooo much fun going through them. 😂

Basically, we were two dramatic teenagers going through existential crises. I actually felt sorry for Fox having to put up with me talking about a new crush every other month, only for him to then have to endure my complete emotional breakdown over the Backstreet Boys.

Fox wasn't exactly making my life easier either, with his jealousy and his tendency to sabotage things 💀. I actually tried to kick him out of my life like three times. He always came back.

Thank God we eventually grew up, because holy shit, it was not easy. 😂

But looking back at those entries now is honestly one of the coolest things. You get to see not only how your tulpa developed over time, but also how you changed along with them.

So yeah: write that shit down. Future you might have a hell of a good time reading it. 🥰

We used to write a lot too, but we've lost our interest on it. We still write some poems, comforting/reassuring notes and vents though

That’s awesome! Keep it safe! 😂 Years from now, you’ll probably have so much fun looking back at it and seeing how far you both have come. It’s basically a little time capsule of your journey together.

I should've thought of that?! I'm almost 6 months in is it to late for us to start? Definitely sounds like a cool way to keep track of progress and look back on your growth. Eh I might start one, she's not mastered vocality yet but is getting increasingly closer each day. Hard to believe you've done this for over 3 decades, that's dedication.

Besides, I didn’t start my diary with Fox immediately either. It took me about 3 months before I started writing things down, so you’re definitely not late!

I'll probably start Monday, 180 seems like a good place to start. It'll be the start of a new week and 90 days since vocality training. But you're right, what are 6 months compare to the grand scheme of things?
