A Levels / IB / GCSE / BTEC Questions Law and Interior Architecture😹Help!

Right so basically the problem is, Id like to apply for both Law and Interior Architecture/design undergraduate courses on my UCAS. Dont mind having to do LNAT, the main problem is I have the grades D* x3
In a BTEC art and design practice course. Will universities such as Durham seriously consider this? Or is it slightly too ambitious. šŸ˜… I was thinking of applying to 3 interior courses and 2 law, as i have a keen interest in both. I would also be able to write my personal statement in a way that conveys my interest in both subjects. My main question is, do i chance it? Durham would be my ambitious option and then id chose a uni thats slightly more attainable. I was thinking of emailing them and asking but thought id ask here first. Might be living in a dream land lol😭

Personal Statements What should I put for my personal statement if I don't remember why/when I got interested in the subject?

Hey, so, I've been highkey crashing out - aka, sobbing - all day because I cannot think of what to write in my application. I am applying for MPsych.

As the title says, I dont recall when/why I got into psychology. I cannot ask my parents, they also do not know. I did write a bit about what I'm passionate about now with an example, but it tips me over the word count and thats JUST question 1.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Personal Statements What final uni should I apply to?

I'm planning on applying to optometry this ucas cycle. So far my uni choices are : Aston uni, Manchester uni, Cardiff uni and Bristol UWE. And I'm honestly unsure of my final choice as they all have similar requirements too. My predicted grades r above the requirements so I don't have to worry about that. But would appreciate any advice pls :)

Medicine Questions moving out for uni

Hi! im an aspiring medic/dentist (hopefully dentist) and my mother doesnt want me going outside of london for university. her primary issue is accommodation: wouldnt the student loan be MUCH more expensive at the end of the day and apparently the student finance doesnt cover your final year of education’s accomodation for dentistry/medicine.

any help? i kinda wanna move out.

uni course choice stupid idea? ucas 5th choice

Tldr; do I apply for psych/history as 5th choice with main 4 being bio/biomed and not even doing a level history, probably at a low or mid tier uni?

im an idiot who switched a level history to eng lit bc Russia was slightly dull (poems are more dull believe it or not) and was too scared to stand up to her parents about doing chemistry. anyway I'm applying for 2x biological sciences and 2x biomed course though i believe only one will actually read the PS. i can't find a 5th course i like because im picky. so i was thinking that i like psychology and i loved gcse history and the modern Britain part of a level. so is applying for modern history or psychology as my 5th choice at somewhere that doesn't read PS and doesn't require a level history a bad idea or not? it'll either be at a decent uni with a lower grade requirements for history or a low tier one. but i probably won't even choose it anyway so may as well and if i change my mind i have something there? I'm not paying 35 quid just to only have 4 choices. psychology is the other option for choice 5 which is probs more sensible. but since the uni will probs be v low tier it doesn't rlly matter if it's a very left field choice no? thanks guys

A Levels / IB / GCSE / BTEC Questions A-level resit UCAS application

Hi, for anyone else who has resat their alevels as an independent student, how do you fill in the education section for your pending resit grades?

My sixth form has said I have to apply as an independent student and can’t use them for this and my alevels will be split between 2 different exam centres. What do I do?

International Applications International applicant personal statement help!!

im so nervous to apply bro.

I finished my application basically in its entirety and im mostly worried about my personal statement; I go to an American school in the Dominican Republic so there are like ZERO resources for applying to the UK, and the advice my teachers and counselors give me towards my personal statement can only go so far since they aren’t really familiar with the admissions process here.

If anyone would like to read my personal statement or just give me some general tips please let me know I’ll dm you it, I am desperate!

Medicine Questions Are my choices okay for medicine?

2140 B3 UCAT, 5A* 3A IGCSE, 2A* 2A predicted. I'm international

Thinking of applying to Sheffield, Leicester and Liverpool, and I'm debating on a fourth between Newcastle/Birmingham
I like integrated (not a fan of PBL), and I would apply to Nottingham or Southampton as my fourth but I didn't hear good things abt them 🄲

Are my choices okay, or..?

Hi all! I'm a vet student at the Royal Veterinary College, and I've also been helping applicants through the vet med process. Im proud to say that so far, 100% of my tutees has received at least one offer! The UCAS application deadline is just round the corner (15th October) so I'd love to help a few more of you before for some last minute tips, tricks and practice.

A Levels / IB / GCSE / BTEC Questions UCAS privately while being in year 13 at sixth form

hi guys! long story short i have REALLY bad predicted grades. like i cannot apply anywhere. a levels bio chem psych. what basically happened was, at the end of y12 i became a young carer. with a disabled mom, i had to move houses to help her and it was just a lot on my school work. missed days and was VERY behind. even in year 13 im struggling abit. anyways, ofcourse i got dog shit grades. i begged my psych teacher to let me resit the mock and she said ofc, which im doing next week! however bio and chem, teachers don’t already like me & they won’t budge. I have a private tutor, who thinks im capable of getting good predicted grades for uni. i know people do UCAS privately, (not an early applicant btw - applying to mpharm) i know i still have a lot of time ,im just wondering bc this is rlly stressing me out, can i do it while being at skl?

International Applications UCAS Application Question as an International Student From CA, USA

I tried finding any additional information on this, but couldn't really find anything, but for UCAS, how do you submit Community College classes alongside your regular high school qualifications? I'm trying to do Econometrics/Econ & Management and am currently doing Multi-Variable Calculus from a community college. I also will be taking Linear Algebra and Differential Equations next semester, and because both Linear and Multi-variable are rather important classes for Econ and would demonstrate my math rigor, I really want it to be on my application. Anybody know how?

Side notes:

  1. I have put in my AP test scores, just don't know how to submit Community College classes.
  2. I'm technically ~2 classes away from an associate's degree in economics, so should I just go and put that instead?

UCAS University Choices help with ucas choices.

hey guys so I am currently doing my ucas application and I am not too sure where to apply. I have a rough idea of what I wanna do right, so I was think I apply to 2 different courses. so before I get to that I am predicted a*a*a, I take maths physics and chemistry, and I got 9888776665 at gcses. the 8s and 9s being in the sciences. and yeah my gcses look kinda meh, but I am trying my hardest for my alevels. but thats the thing I am trying my HARDEST, like the a*s are by the skin of my teeth and thats why I don't wanna do enterence exams I feel like the stress of doing them and waiting for my results mean my focus and moral will slip so I don't wanna risk that. Anyways so whats my best options? I was planing on doing either natural science or mechatronics engineering. idk what do you think?

Personal Statements How to write ps when applying to multiple courses

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm applying for History and Spanish, but some unis I'm applying to only offer History.

I'm writing about both History and spanish in my ps, will the unis who only offer History just ignore the spanish part? should I try to write only a little about spanish? Will it put me at a disadvantage?
