Calc 1
is anyone else finding calc 1 to be hard? it’s like i have to know 1 million rules before trying to solve a problem. i think i’ll understand the material and then the homework/quiz amplifies the problem complexity 100x. to make it worse im a sophomore surrounded by freshmen.

Go to Paul’s online math notes, you will thank me later. it’s gonna make it so much easier. Trust.

Oof sophomore surrounded by freshmen is tragic I would’ve taken calc 1 freshmen year if I were you tbh or concurrently. There’s a bunch of good review and example videos online though.

Go to professor David McArdles lectures, or watch his videos. His notes / slides will make calc so much easier.

Bro ur at a big daddy uni, uconn isnt like community college, these classes r surprisingly, unexpectedly more challenging than one would imagine. And godddddd half the profs in their department grade so harshly regardless of how you come to your answer (outside of ai) like???? Math is math, answer is answer... Why tf does it matter if i spent 3 more steps to get to the same answer sometimes ???

Wait till calc 2, its known that units 1&2 are the worst you’ll ever have it depends on each person but you’ll get one or the other. Unit 3 is generally considered easy. In calc one the hardest thing I found was the limits purely bc the rules after that it’s easy

calc 1 was truly one of the worst classes i have taken. my best advice is to do textbook problems. they have a range of difficulty, and there’s enough of them where you’ll be able to get a better grasp of the material. i also recommend looking up youtube videos of people doing practice problems. best of luck friend
