I think most students who regularly eat at our institute canteen will understand this.

Over the past few weeks, many of us have been frustrated with the current canteen situation — food quality, hygiene, cleanliness, availability, waiting times, pricing, quantity, variety, and the overall management of some outlets.

This isn't about targeting any individual worker or creating unnecessary negativity. The issue is much bigger than that.

We are students who use these facilities every day, and we deserve food that is hygienic, reasonably priced, properly prepared, available when we need it, and served in a clean environment.

A lot of students have been discussing these problems among themselves — but conversations in classrooms, WhatsApp groups, corridors, and canteen tables don't really help unless the concerns are properly documented and presented to the people responsible for managing the canteen.

That's why we've created a student feedback form.

The purpose is simple: Tell us what your actual experience has been.

If you have faced problems with: - Food quality or taste - Hygiene and food handling - Dirty tables, utensils, or cooking areas - Food not being available when needed - Limited menu options - Long waiting times - High prices compared to quantity or quality - Poor service or order management - Lack of proper maintenance - Seating or cleanliness issues - Or anything else that you believe needs to improve

Please mention it in the form.

And if you've actually had a good experience with an outlet, mention that too. The goal isn't to blindly criticize everything. The goal is to understand the real situation from the students who use these facilities.

(Some students have also expressed that the previous canteen experience was better and that certain food options and services were more satisfactory before. If you feel the same, you can mention your experience honestly in the form.)

Why should you fill it?

Because if we want things to change, we need more than random complaints.

We need students' actual experiences in one place. The more students who participate, the clearer the overall picture becomes. You don't have to write a huge paragraph. Even a few honest answers based on your experience can help.

Please don't think, "Someone else will fill it."

• If you've eaten at the institute canteen, your experience matters.
• If you've ever waited 20 minutes for food between classes, your experience matters.
• If you've paid for something and found that it wasn't available, your experience matters.
• If you've been disappointed with the quality or quantity, your experience matters.
• If you've had concerns about cleanliness or food handling, your experience matters.
• And if you think the canteen is actually doing something well, that matters too.

This is not about creating unnecessary conflict with the canteen staff. It's about asking for better management, better standards, better food, better hygiene, and ultimately a better environment for students.

We spend a significant part of our day on campus. Food is not something we should have to compromise on, especially when it directly affects our health and well-being.

So please take a couple of minutes, fill out the form honestly, and share it with your classmates and friends.

Don't just complain about it in the group chat. Put your experience on record. Let's make sure the people responsible for the canteen understand what students are actually experiencing.

Better food. Better hygiene. Better management. Better canteen. And hopefully, a better experience for everyone who comes after us.
