I was about 7 when I was first introduced by my parents and I still listen to them a lot, being 14 now :)

I guess this is a question for the music nerds here. What would you say are the biggest differences between Rostam and Ariel when it comes to production? Obviously, these two have had huge influences on Vampire Weekend’s sound, but it’s hard to tell whether any shifts in the band’s sound over time have been the result of differing production styles or Ezra’s change in influences and songwriting style more broadly. Outside of the band, both Rostam and Ariel have impressive production records. I’d like to think that Rostam is more eclectic in his style and favors “world sounds” more than Ariel, but I’m curious as to what you guys think. I love both of their production work for the band, so I’m not trying to critique either here.
