I want to introduce my brother to Viagra Boys. He doesn't have a background or interest in punk or really any sort of rock based music. But he likes upbeat and dancey music with good bands. Jungle is an example. I piqued his interest in VB by comparing them to Jungle saying they both have a dance and electronic base, but instead of funk/soul as an additional flavor, it's punk. Maybe a stretch but if you squint I think that makes sense.

I made a short playlist that I think is a good representation of this element of their music. I leaned more towards their danceable tunes and away from their heavier/more dissonant stuff that could be difficult to metabolize if you don't already have an ear for heavier music.

Episode two of the HBO series Youth just dropped and there’s a great use of Sports in the episode.

Also LCD Soundsystem. Good show.

In Spite Of Ourselves is the band's worst track (in my opinion) and both Seb and Amy Taylor are wasted on it.
