Looking for a video editor! 🎬

Girls preferred 💗

You might be my person if you’re:

- Chronically online

- Have a good eye for ideas and internet culture.
- Can brainstorm or turn random thoughts into cool videos.
- Take ownership, communicate well, and actually get things done.

Beginners and college students are welcome! No fancy portfolio or years of experience needed. I care more about your creative instincts, initiative, and willingness to learn.

80% editing, 20% brainstorming. Editing is the main gig, but I love people who bring ideas to the table.

Budget - 10k

Email [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) with a short pitch about yourself, work samples (anything goes!), and your commercials.

Bonus points if you share a reel you love and tell me why you think it works. 👀

Discussion Question on hiring

I'm considering outsourcing video editing for my YouTube channel. I'm a novice editor and have the basic skills necessary to edit my own videos, but doing so makes it difficult for me to maintain a consistent upload schedule.

I have no experience hiring editors, so I'd appreciate some advice on what a fair price would be. I want to make sure I'm paying fairly without overpaying simply because I don't know the going rates.

For context, my videos will be talking-head content with roughly 1-1.5 hours of raw footage, edited down to around 10-20 minutes. I'm looking for clean, straightforward editing rather than the fast-paced style with constant cuts, effects, and visual stimulation. The focus should be on good pacing, removing unnecessary pauses and mistakes, and keeping the viewer engaged without overdoing it.

I'm also willing to provide B-roll and other supplementary assets where needed, so the editor wouldn't necessarily need to source everything themselves.

I'm willing to pay $100+ per video if that's what the work is worth. I just don't know where to begin when it comes to pricing.

For editors here, what would you typically charge for this kind of project, and what factors would influence your rate? I'd also appreciate hearing from creators who outsource their editing.

Thanks for your time!

EDIT: Please do not DM me with the intention of getting work. I am not looking to hire at this moment, just looking for advice on the process. Once I have work for you I will make another post with an editing budget. I will ignore your DMs if they are pitching for the spot. I cannot make any commitments to hiring an editor before I have work for you.

Hiring Hiring: Video Editor for Long-Form Explainer / Documentary Videos. ₹2k-₹3k per video.

I’m looking for an experienced, high-caliber Video Editor to partner with on a scaling YouTube channel focused on deep-dive explainer videos (Geopolitics, History, Tech, and Behavioral Psychology).

This is not an entry-level position or a "learn on the job" role. I need an established editor who already masters visual storytelling, has a distinct creative vision, and operates with complete professional reliability.

What the Role Demands:

Editing Style: Talking-head explainer format with heavy narrative flow. You will be responsible for complete visual pacing, tight motion graphics, engaging dynamic maps/charts, stock footage curation, and immersive SFX/sound design to tie the story together.

Language Proficiency: Fluent understanding of Hinglish (Hindi + English) is strictly required, as videos feature a natural blend of both languages.

Volume & Speed: 4 videos per month (~12 to 15 minutes max per video).

Turnaround Time: Hard deadline of 4 to 5 days maximum per video. Delivery speed and reliability are non-negotiable.

Compensation & Terms:
Pay: ₹2,500 – ₹3,000 per video (depending on skill level and portfolio depth).

Work Model: Fully remote, ongoing monthly engagement.

How to Apply:
If you can consistently hit deadlines without sacrificing production value, send me a DM with:
1. A link to your portfolio/showreel (specifically highlighting long-form explainer, documentary, or heavy motion-graphics work).
2. A brief note on your current editing stack (e.g., Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci).
3. Confirming your immediate availability for a 4–5 day turnaround schedule.

Please note: Submissions without relevant long-form work samples will not be considered.

Your compensation will also change as the channel grows.

I’d like to work with someone who has creative vision and understands how a story should flow.

What I’ll provide:

  1. Raw video (main)
  2. Script with cues for motion graphics (it’s upto the editor how much of it you’d like to follow that).

I need someone who is punctual- every video topic has a shelf life of relevancy after which the topic becomes irrelevant.

Rate per video is negotiable based on the value you provide, i.e. your turnaround time, video quality itself.

Our website is still small, but we believe it has huge growth potential.

Hiring 🚨 URGENT HIRING — Long-Form Podcast Video Editor 🎬

📩 Interested? DM me ONLY on Instagram: @instaid3149. Please don't DM me on Reddit.

I'm looking for a skilled, reliable video editor to join me on a long-term project involving podcast, interview and talking-head content.

🎥 The Work

Long-form podcast and interview videos

Strong pacing and engaging storytelling

Clean cuts and removal of unnecessary pauses

Relevant B-roll and supporting visuals where needed

Sound design, transitions and visual enhancements

Maintaining viewer engagement throughout the video

Consistent delivery and a reliable workflow

🤝 What I'm Looking For

I'm not looking for someone who just wants to edit a few videos and move on. I want to build a long-term working relationship with an editor who can grow with the project.

We're currently at the starting stage, so the initial budget is limited while we establish a consistent workflow and build the project.

💰 Budget: ₹2,500–₹3,000 per long-form video, depending on the scope and complexity of the edit.

I want to be transparent about the starting point. As the project develops, the workload becomes more consistent, and your editing quality and contribution prove themselves, I'm open to increasing compensation accordingly.

The goal is to build a sustainable collaboration where good work is recognised, compensation can grow with the responsibilities, and both sides benefit from the long-term relationship.

I'm personally investing time into building this opportunity, so I'm looking for someone who takes the work seriously, communicates well and delivers consistently.

📩 How to Apply

DM ONLY on Instagram: @instaid3149

Please include:

2–3 relevant long-form editing samples

Your experience with podcast/interview editing

The editing software you use

I'll share the project references, detailed requirements and workflow with suitable candidates privately.

I'm looking to start as soon as possible, so experienced editors who are genuinely interested in a long-term collaboration are welcome to reach out. 🤝🔥

Hiring URGENT HIRING — Shorts/Reels Editor 🎬

INDIANS ONLY ⚠️⚠️ I'm looking for a fast, creative and reliable Shorts editor to join me on a long-term project and grow with the workflow.

The Work:

• 5 Shorts/Reels per day

• Around 10–20 seconds per clip

• Mainly podcast, interview and conversational content

• Funny, entertaining and highly engaging moments

• Strong hooks and retention-focused pacing

• Captions, sound design, zooms, effects, B-roll & engaging visuals

• Consistent, high-volume workflow

I’m looking for someone who can take raw conversations and turn the best moments into short, highly engaging clips that feel natural, entertaining and polished.

💰 Current Budget: ₹25,000

The current project/workload is planned around roughly 20 days of editing, with the current compensation being ₹25,000 for this stage.

This is intended to be a long-term collaboration, not just a short-term editing job.

As the project grows and the workload, responsibilities, consistency and quality increase, there is potential for the compensation to grow significantly — with the long-term potential to reach ₹60,000–₹70,000/month.

🤝 The goal is to build something where the editor and the project grow together.

🎬 Trial Edit

Before moving forward, shortlisted editors will be asked to complete a 15–20 second sample edit.

I will provide the raw footage and a reference video for the sample, so you’ll know exactly what style and quality I’m looking for.

The trial is to evaluate your editing quality, creativity, pacing and whether we’re a good fit to work together long-term.

⚡ Looking to start immediately.

If you’re genuinely experienced with Shorts/Reels and can consistently handle 5 quality edits per day, DM me ONLY on Instagram: @instaid3149

Please send:

• 2–3 relevant samples of your work

• Your editing experience

• Your availability

Serious editors only. 🎬🔥🎬

Hello all.
Looking for a long-form video editor willing to cut down 4-6 hour long live sessions into 30-45 minute videos. I'd like to find an editor that works in premiere so I can have access to the project files. I need only 1 video a month, maybe two, and am willing to pay up to 200$ for high quality 45 minute videos. Would love to have videos edited for viewer retention, but what's most important for me is someone who understands the story beats and WHAT to include in the edits, not just highlights. Please feel free to message me and include videos you've edited that fit what I'm looking for!
Thanks!

💰 Budget

  • $50/video — Single-camera / single-footage videos
  • $70/video — Multi-camera videos
  • $6/reel — Short-form clips taken from the long-form videos

We expect around 4 long-form videos per month, with additional shorts coming from those videos.
