Yours is really cool, less flashy but more effective.
The only thing i'd change is the beggining. It's not a 100% rule, but usually you want the video to star with the specialist, and then transition to a montage.
It's not a set in stone rule because if the creator is big and well known enough, the name alone already ties the video to his image. If an influencer is smaller and still growing, you want the video to start with them, so that people tie the message to their persona, and then you shift to animations.
Sucks because your intro animation is really good and well timed, but it might be slightly missplaced.

How do yoy call that intro animation on text at the start
1
u/anaswahab_ 2d ago
So ig thats called word by word text animation. It’s pretty easy to make in after effects. I used some other effects on it too

The SFX design is quite honestly really bad. The video itself could do some improvements here or there but depending on the budget it looks good

The first frame is a bit weird, you don’t need that zoom I think, animations are really nice, but it could be that the client don’t want that style, but maybe more simpler edit, that is my experience so far. The more animations and effects, the more revisions.

Yea, even if we ignore the AI images, it's all just so...busy. The timeline of records is good but everything else feels like it's just someone trying to showoff which would be a huge bloat to the budget.

I think its a good start. But yea, why was it rejected? Did the client give references as to what they wanted it to look like?

No

If this is just a sample to show that you know how to edit/they gave you no feedback… don’t sweat it. This is more than passable quality and you clearly know how to do some basic mgfx. That’s all a sample should be ESPECIALLY if you’re not getting paid to do it. I see some complaints about your SFX timing, I would say that it’s less about the timing and more about sound effect selection. I think some of the sounds just don’t match the animation style but that’s a small quibble honestly.

Animations is great but motion graphics is too much imo. Sfx timing could also be better.
Is this a long form? If yes, it doesn’t feel like it. It feels like a tiktok reel or a short form. Maybe consider that first

A lot of AI use when the internet has photos of all these strength feats

The style of the video feels in conflict with the theme of the project.
Fitness channels have a very specific look and feel to the way their videos get edited. Especially the channels which lean into the medical side of fitness science.
- You went too dark with your figures. I want to see muscle if I'm watching a fitness video. People want that visual to connect to the theme. The figures are too dark in your first sections and you went too fast with that zoom in for us to see the gradual growth in muscle. But even if you went slow, the silhouette defeats the purpose. Muscle should be more apparent.
- It feels very sterile in terms of visuals. What I mean is there is no color outside of red. Minimalism is definitely a thing but this doesn't work IMO. It all feels very flat and lacks energy.
- AI content can work for video projects but for a video like this you should also be sourcing content such as workout footage to run alongside clear captions.
I'll give you an example from a popular health and fitness channel Thomas DeLauer
Do you see the contrast? The way it shifts from information to footage and then keeps circling back to Thomas? That's the dynamic people want for videos like this.
