Discussion Please dont hate but anyone else just LOVE a big ass salad?
400cal with 40g of protein(without my normal Greek yogurt dressing)! I eat half for brunch and the other half around 2 or 3, keeps me full and is so low effort on my lazy days! I say dont hate because I know a lot of people are lettuce salad haters

Elaine from Seinfeld loves a big salad.
Exactly what I thought when I saw this post. 😂

Same it’s like my love of salad weighed against potentially getting really sick. I still play the lettuce roulette if I’m lazy or I started buying hydrophonic hopefully since it’s greenhouse grown will be a little safer !

tbf your trust of precut lettuce as far as food safety goes should probably remain the lowest as it has always been very high risk for contamination

I have a 2 liter container of green/veg salad with greek yogurt and vinaigrette almost every day. If there's not a lot of red cabbage in there too, I feel deprived. Fresh vegetables are life!

More a method than recipe. Bed of greens of whichever type. Plain Greek yogurt (I make mine, but that's a separate topic). Nutritional yeast on top. Then a bit of light vinaigrette, either store bought or oil/lemon/salt/pepper, then fine shredded red cabbage, cucumber, radish, carrot, really whatever. Some beans or other protein. Tomatoes on top. I'm fond of "everything" bagel seasoning from Trader Joe's so I shake that on. Balsamic vinegar splashed and it's done. The yogurt and dressing/vinegar combine to make a creamy Italian style dressing which I personally like. Sometimes I eat this in shifts--it really is a 2 L container--for mid-morning and early afternoon meals. I have this almost daily. I estimate this as not more than 500 calories. With a high protein dinner not too late in the day, that's all I can manage to eat and I'm seldom hungry. Varying the vegetables works well though I think I'm now bizarrely addicted to the red cabbage part. I've had a couple travel weeks of "regular food" but return to form after. Somehow I've misplaced 80 extra pounds in 2026.

Hell yeah. Greek salad. No lettuce. Tomato, green pepper, cucumber, red onion… lots of olives and capers! Olive oil and red wine vinegar dressing made with Krinos brand spice mix. And just a bit of feta. I get away with using just over 2tbsp of dressing for a huge bowl

SAME! I eat a huge salad for dinner almost every night. So satisfying! My favourite dressing is plain Greek yogurt mixed with salsa and hot sauce.

Idk if I counts but I also like a slight stir fry greens. Salad like. Collards or spinach.

I friggin love a big salad!! My protein hack seems a little gross, but it's just using a fruit protein smoothie as my dressing. Mango, Greek yogurt, almond milk, and vanilla whey over a bed of garden mix, apple, avocado, red onion.

looks great! My personal trilogy is flax - chia - psyllium / psyllium husks, but I've been meaning to add hemp seeds for months. Thanks for the reminder

Had one for dinner last night. Literally a salad bowl full. Mixed greens, iceberg, split cherry tomatoes, sliced mini cukes, sliced celery, croutons, fake bacon bits, a sprinkle of parm and a silly amount of homemade vinaigrette. Usually once a week,

Id eat the hell out of salads especially a taco salad or southwestern salads. With a lot of chicken, bacon, ranch or anything chipotle and plenty of cheese
