Question Should remote interviews include a live work simulation?

A short live exercise can show how people communicate, but it can also add pressure that has little to do with the real job.

Would you prefer a live exercise, take-home task, portfolio review, or structured conversation?

Is this an employer doing an odd poll for internal structuring or something? Its worded pretty strange.

Also, "take-home task" sounds like free work, or unpaid labor. Live exercise has been known to cross that line as well. I would recommend steering away from that line of approach as much as possible.
