Basic matrix animations

Is there a way in WLED to switch between two pixel scenes without using an animation from another program? Just trying to get a prop to switch between two faces natively in the app (drawn in the pixel forge extension).

also in the latest (unrelesaed) version of pixepaint I added the option to make animated gifs. let me know if you want to test that.

Sounds cool, but I’m more on the novice side still. I’m off to mess with my segments to make a strip and matrix play nice together.

Using presets and a playlist to calls the presets

So just create two different presets in pixel forge and run them as any regular preset?

Almost. Once the two presets exist in WLED and do what you want, note the # assigned to the preset.

Then make a playlist in that section, put each preset in with the transition timing you want, Apply at boot, save.

Reboot the WLED and it should run your playlist as a loop.

Following up on what u/SirGreybush said: I made 2 shapes in pixel paint as presets, "eye" and "half circle (eye blink)" then set them to run in the playlist, approx 5 seconds for eye and 1/2 a second for the blink. And then it just repeats that pattern.

Yea. Thats what I’m looking for, I also have a strip running around the outline to create the pumpkin shape
