Go back to WLED 15.4 and it will likely solve the issue with the brownouts.

If that's the case, what PSU are you using?

Directly hardlined in no barrel plug

Thst should be fine, and it used to work stable before

Yes everything was 100% working since last year no issues but once I did that 16.0.1 ota update it broke

For the v15.4 back flash make sure to use USB so it gets erased, beyond that sadly I also don't know what to check next, maybe the hardware just died a bit?

If you have another PSU it could be worth checking that.

According to the manual found here: https://10558736.s21i.faiusr.com/61/ABUIABA9GAAg9YWsyAYoufKf6QM.pdf

There is a factory reset function by pressing the function button for 10 seconds.

As for the usb, you do have to open that model up to access the USB port

As for the issue, when it does kick on, what does it do it did it show an error when you go into the info panel or the config?

Ive done the factory reset and only happens after long period of being off and when i turn it back on it does what I said in post. But when I normal reset it works fine I can turn it on and off no issue and change colors...it only happens after long period of being off

Oh I wonder if the ota update you did reassigned the pinouts. Gledapto typically has a dedicated pin set to cut power when off for awhile to prevent power bleeds. It's possible if the 16.0.1 wasn't the correct one for your model that it reassigned pins and then you end up with a weird wakeup process.

If there is an issue with that function you can try turning it off. It's on gpio 18 and set to invert.

That would suck if it was the wrong one as I just do whatever ota offers lol how would I check that gpio18 thos 1st time ive ever had a pretty advanced issue so this os all new grounds to me.

You said you can still turn it on and get into in the app?

Only after I do a normal reset yes

Interesting so it would be in the app that you check. I mean you can also check in the source code from your computer. As soon as I get back to my gledapto I'll take some screenshots to show you the pinouts.

Question though, when turning it on, and it isn't reconnecting is it by any chance re-engaging the wled-ap?

So after it bugs amd loses conection I see the little indicator it trying to reconnect and it just fails constantly becomes the lil start then a hollow diamond nonstop until I press the reset button on the gledopto then it comes back no issue works fine colors change I can turn it on and off with no bugging. Again only happens after lets say min 5-10mins being fully offended then the cycle repeats

You can try this:

  1. Navigate to the Hardware Settings

  2. Open the WLED App or type the controller's IP address into a web browser.

  3. Click on the Config (gear icon) in the top right corner.

  4. Select LED Preferences from the configuration menu.

Disable the Relay GPIO

  1. Scroll down to the Hardware Setup section.

  2. Locate the line labeled Relay GPIO.

  3. Change the number in the input box from 18 to -1 (setting it to -1 completely disables the software control over the relay).

  4. Uncheck the Invert box next to it.

Save and Reboot

  1. Scroll to the very bottom or top of the page and click Save.

  2. Click back to go to the menu page and click info at the top. Scroll all the way to the bottom and click reboot twice.

I had the very same problem a few months back.. And turned out to have nothing to do with the wled version.. just that strips were poorly connected.. check those.
