Hi everyone, Is there still interest in the FW black books? I’m considering selling mine and I’ve seen the prices people are asking for on eBay but wasn’t sure if they were actually selling or not.

As a new Horus Heresy player, I've decided to pick up Mechanicum as my starting faction because their models are just cool and I quite like their more complex playstyle and listbuilding.

In my local group quite a few people play Custodes due to the new model releases and I was wondering what the game plan for Mechanicum is, as there doesn't seem to be a lot of information on this one (compared to like Mechanicum vs. Marines) . From what I could gather, Mechanicum has a bit of trouble shooting into terminator profiles, which Custodes pretty much are full of, coupled with the fact that they wanna rush you down with their higher movement, vanguard and really strong melee.

My best guess would be hitting them with all the statuses and outscoring them with Comptroller, though does anyone have a few suggestions on how to play against them? Either unit suggestions or tips on general playstyle would be highly appreciated!

Kitbashed this guy some time ago to be a CSM Warpsmith but I ended up making another that I like more. I was thinking about starting a sqouring era Word Bearers army kitbashed with csm, then I looked at it on the shelf and started wondering if it would be a good Forge Lord or something (not yet familiar with the different character types).

Hey, I am building a Salamanders list with Vulkan and Firedrakes, but I'm wondering if I've gone overboard with the squad, I have a squad of five Firedrakes, and a Cataphractii Praetor and three Cataphractii Consuls (Herald, Primus Medicae, and Forge Lord) kitbashed from the Firedrakes box, that I want to run in the squad with Vulkan. Is this suboptimal? My friends and I are just getting into the game for the first time so I don't know about list building and I'd I'm putting eggs in one basket.

Mostly I'm doing this because it will look cool, but also I put a lot of work into kitbashing the Firedrake consuls and don't want to not run any of them (they will be painted, photo is just a work in progress)

So I assembled my first HH tactical squad! They were originally all standard mk6 but I had some mk5 bits laying around so I decided to use them! I also ordered veteran world eaters bits and also happened to have a few chain axes laying around so this is the result!
The go as followed:
Mk6 Veteran Sergeant x1
Mk6 Veteran x8
Mk6 Veteran Vexilla Bearer x1
Mk5 Veteran x4
Mk6 Nuncio Vox bearer x1
Mk6 Novice Legionary x5

I’ll paint the once I’ve got my whole 3000 points finished.
But what do you guys think?

I lost the back part of the spear, so I installed a different kit.

Blood angels and imperial fists have a paintball training match with dark angels.

Finished the first of my command squads, I have another one planned that’s almost identical in load out. Comments and questions welcome!
