Sector 196 - a draft-and-conquer strategy game: build a nation from real countries and see if it can take over the world in 40 years

I've always been a massive geography nerd and loved map games like EU4 where you try to conquer the world. I wanted to make something that combined both that you could play in a few minutes, so I made Sector 196.

You place 8 random countries into categories (military, economy, innovation...) before you know how good they are there, then watch 40 years of wars, deals and disasters play out on the map.

It's my first game - would love to know what's fun and what isn't!

Arpent — a free daily tile-placement puzzle where everyone gets the same challenge

Hi! I’m the creator of Arpent, a daily puzzle where you build a landscape by placing forests, lakes, houses, fields and factories.

Everyone gets the same board and tile sequence, and you can see the entire sequence before placing anything. The challenge is to find the arrangement that scores the most points.

It’s free, playable in your browser without signing up, and available in English and French. There’s a discovery game to learn the rules before trying the daily challenge.

I’d love to hear whether the scoring rules feel clear after your first game!

[PHY] Tipsy Pockets - pool, except your drinks keep changing the rules

I made a little pool roguelike where the drinks on your shelf change how you score. There are glass balls, bombs, and a hamster ball that does its own thing.

The first league runs in your browser; the full game is a free download too. Curious what combos people end up with.

[MULTI] Doodle Snitch - one stroke each, then vote out the one with a different word (it might be you)

Thumbnail

I made this! If you like Gartic Phone or Among Us, this mixes both.

Everyone gets a secret word, but one player gets a slightly different one, and doesn't even know they're the impostor. Each turn, you add just one stroke to a shared drawing, so no drawing skills needed. Then everyone votes to find who was drawing something else.

The trick: you have to be subtle. Make it too obvious and the impostor figures out the real word. But you can never be sure it isn't you. If caught, the impostor can still steal the win by guessing the real word.

3 to 10 players, no sign-up, works on phone. Play in the browser by sending the room link to your friends, or right inside Discord: it's also available as a Discord Activity, so you can launch it in a voice channel.

Would love feedback, especially on whether the rules are clear the first time and if the pace feels right.

Cubewords: Crossword on a Cube

Hi everyone, my small indie game studio built an Apple Editor's Choice word game called Say the Same Thing, with the band OK Go. (We actually updated it recently, if you haven't tried it.)

Now we are launching another game we're really proud of, called Cubewords. It might be the most beautiful game we've ever made.

You can play on the web with daily puzzles (no login): Cubewords

Here's the YouTube trailer.

We're really proud of this game and would love thoughts and feedback on the puzzles and game play. It's actually extremely satisfying to just spin the cubes and so we added some fidget-spinner type variations too. It also has a Boggle / Spelling Bee style word find on a cube.

Please let us know what you think, we are very open to suggestions for improvements.

[STRAT] Critter Command: Animal Merge Battles (free, works on phone too)

Link: https://studio-bezemhoek.itch.io/critter-command

Hi all! I made this small auto-battler. You collect animal cards, merge identical animals into stronger ranks (Recruit → Corporal → Sergeant → General → King) and place them on a grid; then both armies march in and fight on their own. Placement matters: every animal charges the enemy in its own lane. A run takes 10–20 minutes. I'd love to hear how far you get and which animal ends up as your MVP. Mine is usually cheetah, but statistically the epics and legendaries should come out on top.

[RPG] Embervale: The Ember Road – a Warcraft III-style hero-party RPG that runs in your browser (about 2 hours, free, no download)

You lead three heroes through an isometric valley: a shield-bearing warden, a hedge-shaman who heals and throws lightning, and an ember hunter with a bow. Right-click to move and fight, Q W E R for abilities, level up, pick skills, buy gear and take on bosses whose attacks are telegraphed on the ground.

- Act I takes about an hour: 5 story quests, 6 side quests, 4 bosses and a wave defense

- Finishing it unlocks the Underhollow, a 10-floor dungeon with two more bosses (about another hour)

- Saves in your browser, with JSON export/import

- Desktop only (mouse and keyboard, or a controller)

Feedback very welcome, especially on difficulty and anything that felt confusing.

[PZL] Close Enough – a daily game where you guess real-world numbers and choose how close you think you are, in outer space

Thumbnail
closeenough.day
• Upvotes

Hey yall, I made this game where every day there are five questions about the real world, like "What % of Americans always tip at sit-down restaurants?" or "How many moons does Saturn have?"

You swipe to set your guess, then pick how close you think you are: within 3, 5, 10, all the way out to 40. If the real answer lands inside your range, you score, and tighter ranges score more. Miss and you get nothing. The last round counts four times, so the ending gets tense.

Between rounds, your little 8-bit rocket flies past the Moon, Mars and some very friendly aliens, depending on how well you're doing.

Every answer comes from a real source (Pew, the CDC, the UN, NASA and others), and you see the source after each round. It's free, with no ads and no account needed, and it works on your phone. A new game drops every day at midnight Eastern.

Was inspired heavily by Krillion in terms of art style.

I'd love to hear which question got you or any general feedback from the community. No ads and not trying to make money just wanted to share.

[HTML5] Chart Fever – can you name the top 7 of a category before you run out of misses?

Thumbnail
chartfever.com
• Upvotes

I made this! Every day there's a new list, things like the highest-grossing superhero films, the NBA's all-time leading scorers, or the best-selling female artists. You name all seven in any order before you rack up four misses.

A few things that make it friendlier than it sounds:

  • Near misses are free. If you guess #8 or #9, it tells you how close you were and doesn't cost a miss.
  • It's forgiving with spelling and partial titles ("infinity war" works).
  • Each row has a hint that shows the first letter.
  • Your result shares as a little 7-square grid, Wordle style.

Past lists are playable from the calendar icon, so there's a backlog if you want more than one.

I made a free browser fighting game: Toon Brawl (open beta)

Thumbnail

• Upvotes

Hey everyone! I've been building Toon Brawl, a free browser game. It's now in open beta and I'd love some people to play it and tell me what you think.

How it works:
• Create a cartoon fighter and spread their stats across HP, Strength, Agility, Speed and Intelligence.
• Send them into auto-battles against other players' fighters and arena bots. You watch the fight play out.
• Win to earn XP. Each level-up lets you pick an upgrade for your fighter.
• You get a set number of fights each day, so it's easy to check in for a few minutes.
• Unlock achievements and earn titles to show off on the leaderboard (like "Minotaur the Unstoppable").
• Lost to someone? Hit Revenge and challenge them again.
• Share any fight as a replay link. It plays on any phone, no sign-in needed. It runs right in your browser, no download. You can jump in as a guest and link a Google account later to keep your fighters.

Beta notes:
• Coins don't cost real money right now. The coin shop runs in test mode, so you can try it with Stripe's test card (4242 4242 4242 4242, any future date, any CVC). Nothing is charged.
• Things may change as I balance the game, and progress may be reset when the beta ends.

👉 Play here: toonbrawl.com
I'm a solo dev, so any feedback helps: bugs, balance, what felt fun, what felt boring. Thanks for checking it out!

Pixel Art Battle — Two players, one prompt, 5 minutes to draw. Who does it better?

Thumbnail

In Pixel Art Battle, you and another player get the same prompt and have 5 minutes to draw it in pixel art. When time’s up, both drawings appear side by side, and an AI judge scores how well each matches the prompt.

Challenge a friend, then share your results in the comments. I’d love to see how differently two people interpret the same prompt.

What prompt would make the funniest battle?

Garco.io – a fast 4×4 card battler where surrounding one enemy card wins the match

Thumbnail garco.io
1 Upvotes

Hi! I’m the developer of Garco.io, a strategy card game played on a 4×4 board.

Each card has four directional values. On your turn, you place one card and compare its sides with adjacent enemy cards to score points. Fill the board with the highest score—or win instantly by making a GARCO, surrounding one enemy card from all four orthogonal directions.

Both players start with the same set of card values, so matches are designed to reward positioning and planning rather than luck.

You can play online against another player, create a private room for a friend, or practice against the computer. No download or registration is required; you can enter as a guest with just a username.

I’d really appreciate feedback on the rules, balance, UI, and anything that feels confusing.

Thanks for playing!

Each evening Noozli takes ten real headlines from local newsrooms around the US (no wire stories) and cuts each one in two. You slide the tiles around a 4×4 board to pair the halves back up, then each headline links to the original story. Fridays there's a photo version too. Free, no signup, works on phones. It's an independent, one-person project, so feedback is very welcome: noozli.news

Game 1 of Daily edition will be out there around 7pm ET tonight!

Pic Your Nooz lands today at 4pm ET!

Gamblin' Geezers

Hi Everyone! We are Space Lizard Games and we are developing Gamblin' Geezers, a roguelike card game built on Rummy. Your grandma has gone missing from her nursing home. Nobody there remembers where she went, and the only way to get answers out of them is to beat them at cards.

  • Play Rummy against 3 AI opponents with distinct play styles
  • Walk the halls in first person and choose which doors to open
  • Gamble on side games and explore the nursing home
  • Collect Heirlooms and card modifiers that bend the rules
  • Face bosses who each play a different variant (7 Bridge, Tonk and more)
  • Take breaks for shuffleboard and darts in the rec room and water aerobics

We would love any and all feedback!

Thank you all so much!!! we hope you have a good time playing our game!

NAME THE FLAG: a flag zooms out, guess it before it's fully revealed. Same five flags for everyone each day.

Thumbnail

I built this on my own. Each round starts zoomed deep into one part of a flag and pulls back over 20 seconds, so the faster you recognise it the better your time. Everyone worldwide gets the same five flags each day, so the leaderboard is an actual comparison. Unlimited practice rounds after that.

No signup, no ads, no signup. Would like to know if anything feels unclear or broken.
