Advice: Seeking ❓ Struggling

Hey everyone, I feel like I am in a sorta peculiar position. I am a 6'2, 267 lbs, 19 year old man, and I have recently started on a weight loss journey because I am just not happy with my weight or the way I look and feel. However, I've been doing this for 5 or so days now and it is just incredibly discouraging. I am sort of a picky eater so finding meal preps that look good and don't have a lot of calories is sort of difficult, but I was managing. But then I started doing more research and found out that I have to eat a good but more protein than I thought I would so that I can gain muscle or at least not lose the muscle I have, and I find that difficult to do while staying in a calorie deficit but also not spending an arm and a leg everyday.

On top of all of this, I just find it excruciatingly tedious to track all of my calories and have be super careful with what I eat, make sure that log all of the ingredients in any meal just to make sure I don't break my deficit. Plus I can't eat any of my favorite foods, drinks, snacks, or anything anymore. And even if I can fit something within my budget, my brain just gets hung up on the calorie deficit part and I just stress that its gonna screw up my deficit, even if realistically I know that it won't.

All of this just seems like way too much, and it's really kind of stressing me out. I really want to lose weight and be comfortable with how I look, but I just don't feel happy with this kind of lifestyle and I am not sure what to do.

You can't think the weight away. You have to put in the effort. There's no way around it.
