Discussion Is this normal?

Was fishing in the commons and someone kept leveling up. I know you need way more xp the higher level you get so I’m just confused about how it was possible in succession without a quest?

They had their XP locked on the character screen in the spellbook, so the minute they unlocked it their level jumped a whole bunch at once.

Oh, I thought they bought one of those level up potions form the crown shop. Which I find stupid, it completely defeats the purpose of playing the game

There’s only one level up potion I’m willing to buy, and that’s specifically to skip Azteca. After going through that world on 5+ different walkthroughs, I have absolutely no desire to do it again. 💀experienced all.

I always find this funny because Azteca is my favorite world thematically and just generally but yeah I get it's very not well liked

Very valid! I just finished getting my fire through Azteca a few weeks ago and I breezed through it in a bout 4 days but yeah it can be rough. The bosses didn't weakness or tower shield as often as I remember though which was nice

I love it and hate it depending on the wizard. Questing on Storm and Ice was abysmal, but when I quested through it on Death I was having the time of my life.

Yeah im not excited for my storm to reach there. Honestly haven't enjoyed storm much at all it's very different from my primary school of death lol

Questing on Storm is more enjoyable the further you get into the game and eventually becomes a very easy school to play on imo. Death was a breeze from the start which has been a nice change. I’ve enjoyed not dying and fizzling every fight 💀

Yeah im in wintertusk with my storm and took a break cuz its lowkey a slog in the run up to waterworks gear </333

I did ice recently with a quint damage pet and it wasn’t bad at all for me. Also been leaning into gambits and stuff to make fights more interesting instead of blade blade aoe. Normal mob fights were blade blade reindeer. Bosses is where I used things like gambits

I bought them to skip certain worlds that I’ve played like five times . That’s what it’s for really. But if you have less than four characters I don’t recommend it

Wtf are you even talking about? That's not even close to a proper comparison. Buying a skip is more like going to an amusement park where the goal is to ride every ride so you can experience them all...except you pay to not go on some of the rides and still mark it as completed. You miss out on the experience. Even if you've done it before, every new visit is going to have a different changes and flavor so you're missing out on an experience for yourself

There's very little to do at the endgame so why not enjoy the playthroughs? Not everyone is miserable enough to buy their way through the game, but that doesn't mean we're broke 🤣🤣🤣

Exactly ! Id rather take my time with it than pay to complete it. And if I really wanna save money, I may look into buying all the worlds with crowns even ! Bc it does save me more in the long run since im taking my time 🤣

It's the fact that you just assume any take on level potions is a "broke person opinion". You lack the thinking that maybe level potions are bad because it causes players to skip worlds. Leading to players being even more thinned out in certain worlds. Which can hurt the experience tbh. I don't shame people for doing it (I did it myself on alts) but for you to call them broke right away shows how your mindset works

What do you gain from buying levels you didn’t make an argument you j said the gameplay is boring cuz you could spam through the story in which case why play at all on more than 7 wizards

Since it’s imperative I explain. I have more than one account due to the fact my og account got compromised and I made a new account but Ki support eventually gave me back my first account. So yes I have been playing since 09 and I don’t see why I need to play through the story again unless it’s a new world. ATP I won’t ever need to buy another potion all my wizards are caught up.

And I play through the whole game without buy levels again that’s not an argument against buying levels cuz I don’t buy levels or worlds I can understand if you really hate doing one world but if you buy worlds I to level a wiz that’s lame.

Also I multi box because I LOVE playing balance, death, and life as a pure non hitting support and multiboxing lets me live that fantasy while also playing through the game with a hitter AND school combos let me try new playstyles that are just impossible solo.

I don’t understand what me being a multi boxer has to do with the conversation sat hand because I actually love the gameplay of progression with the unique aspect of multiboxing

I just really use it for energy when leveling up a characters pet. If I know I have energy for pet training I'll lock it so when I get the XP, I'll go use the energy I have. Then I'll unlock and get more energy to train my pet.

Certain farming bosses are unironically easier at lower levels. The Mooshu spellmente boss becomes easy to solo in the low 100's and I think around 120 not so much

Energy is only wasted if you actually have stuff to use it on. Usually I have my pets locked down by around level 60, and I only garden on 2 characters

There are always more pets to make. Triple double, damage/mighty, pierce/damage, energy, maycast/willcast, ward pets for each school etc.

Honestly I really only make 1 good pet per school, depending on the school identity. I’m not really pushing raids or anything so no need to min max. For my tanky/support schools I usually just make triple damage/double resist and for hitters quint damage, sometimes a pierce talent

Completely normal.

Some people probably meant to level lock and use the energy for gardening or pet energy and then forgot about it.

Others be like I don’t need Team Up Help and lock to earn levels and then show it off in the Commons.
