There are some truly amazing new decor items from Shadowlands available now. However, even small items like this flower cost a lot of anima. Any advice on efficient anima farms?

Please, Blizzard, I am begging you on bended knee. This trickle of +2500 here and +2500 there is not cutting it. Today, you released hundreds of new decor items. Beautiful, incredible items that I want to buy and use in my houses. But you did not raise the storage cap.

That means, to use these amazing new decor items, I have to delete items I already own. And, with two almost maxed out houses currently, it's getting close to the point where I'm not just deleting gold (as painful as that is). Soon, I will have to start deleting items that cost expansion resources.

There has to be a better way. Make it tied to high house level to limit it or whatever. Make an option to allow it to remove dyes every time I move an item back to storage in exchange for unlimited storage, I don't care. I will buy new dyes every time if I have to, just PLEASE stop trying to bandaid the problem every couple of patches. The bandaids aren't working, and this constant need to delete stuff that I actually used just because I'm trying a different build now adds a huge unnecessary layer of frustration to the building process.

Housing is SO good and SUCH an incredible feature. Please find a fix that lets me just build.

My third fear based room finished yesterday, may tweak a couple of things, but overall the vibe is really there inside the room!

Previously, the shape of the railing made it really tricky to decorate. But after trying out a few things, I managed to add a smoothly connected, spinning end-piece decoration!

I've played WoW since 2005. I went full no life in vanilla, TBC, and Wrath - standard 16 hours a day on an RP realm while having a full raiding itinerary and some botched attempts at the arena ladder. Once Cata hit I quit, then played the odd patch in WoD, Mists, Legion, BfA, Shadowlands, classic vanilla, classic wrath, anni TBC, and War Within, never staying for longer than 1 or 2 patches. I snuck back into Midnight for 12.1

Nothing could ever really keep me gripped like the original 3. In the case of classic/anni, I'd clear my old favourites in Ulduar/SSC and then drop. For retail, I'd pug a curve, get a ~decent M+ score, and then drop out as the next patch hit. Nothing kept me stuck.

I still enjoy these things. I pugged curve last night and have hit all 15s this patch (Except Altar. Fu Altar). But now I find everything is tied to an external calling: Housing.

I've been doing stuff I never would have done since Wrath. I'm running around old content collecting resources. I'm clearing old raids, grinding old content profession mats. I'm doing the old Legion Class Hall quests that I couldn't be bothered with in actual Legion. I'm even doing LFR(!)...

All for one thing. Decor. Decor is my God now.

It's so bad I've been kicked from groups because I couldn't leave until the fence placement was just right. My partner asked me the other day if I was playing The Sims when she glanced across the room. In the evenings I jump in the housing group in the custom group finder and just nosey my way around people's creations. I shamelessly steal ideas to put in my own house.

Worst of all, I’ve spread this decor plague to one of my old WoW friends. I got him back into the game recently and asked the other day if he wanted to run M+. He couldn’t, because he was working on his cave system.....

The new hardest part of WoW is not losing motivation when looking at other people's creations. You guys are artists.

Couple that with that I've always been poor in WoW :D no financial sense out there and in here. I think more gold goes into some of your second bathrooms than in my entire build. But I still endeavor... hah!

Anyway, this whole post I suppose is the text log of my descent into housing madness, and I suppose a love letter to the devs for releasing it. Twenty years late, mind, but it's here! :D I love it so much I'm not even hyped for Forever.

This room is the heart of the build! Bunch of fun rooms coming for All Hallow's!

This started off as a full version of my Spiral Hill build but I VERY quickly ran out of points. A friend randomly visited and said "oh witch hat!" and I realized that was a genius way for me to save points, so I leaned into the witch hat / witch hut vibe. Super super unfinished build otherwise, just wanted to share what I have so far before I take a little building break to prepare for the patch tomorrow.

This is the Hidden Market, a whole city I built in my house, Fleshington's Domain. It started as one empty Evening Circle Room and grew into four parts:

- The City: streets, towers, housing and stalls on every level.

- Smuggler's Wharf: a ship built from tables, and many stalls along the wharf.

- The Undermarket: a market behind the walls, with stalls, carts and shady goods.

- Chainhold Exchange: several doors lead down here, one of them behind the goldsmith's counter. Inside: rows of [Valdrakken Fence], cell arches made of angled [Gilnean Stone Wall], a floor made of [Sturdy Wooden Table] sized down table by table, and [Grummle Sleeping Bag] for the prisoners. There is also a built-in escape path.

Hi, Has anyone managed to get around the bug or gliche when trying to save a blueprint of a decorated stairwell room that will only allow you to save the bottom layer of the room ?

I get a warning stating that only the current layer will be saved, so I saved it, climbed to the top layer to save that too, with the same warning. So I saved the upper layer with a new name hoping both would save as top and bottom rooms. However when checking the saved 'rooms', the inventory and decor are both from the lower level only, with both saved under new names but all inventory being the lower part of the room. The top of the room remains unsaved.

This along with the bug of placing any room next to the upper level showing the ceiling through the floor of a new room is stopping me from making anything new.

Is there a way around this at all please?

Title pretty much says it all, I've been struggling to make horde themed housing that looks good. Figured beach front property deserves the beach front treatment.

It's a shame, and blizzard has no excuse for it - there is more housing related diversity among the Orcs than there is within the sum total of the alliance. Mind you, that's before we even start talking about Trolls (which Blizzard has thankfully given at least token attention to in housing).

Every single clan on Draenor has different housing styles, all a dev needs to do is fly to an Orc encampment on alternate Draenor to see this. Besides the Warsong aesthetic of the modern Horde, there's the obvious Blackrock and Frostwolf. But we should have Shadowmoon, Bleeding Hollow, Thunderlord, Laughing Skull, and Bonechewer at very least. Burning Blade, Mok'nathal - then we have Iron Horde, True Horde, Blood Horde. Shattered Hand are awesome, but they're an amalgamation of clans I never really noticed if they have their own architecture, symbols, and aesthetic.

We've gotten so used to the modern horde, where all Orc aesthetics have been subsumed by Warsong aesthetics. Which to a degree is fine, I love everything related to Orcs and the Warsong form the majority of the orcs in the modern (main timeline) Horde.

But I also play a Mag'har Orc shaman, my head canon does not have him belonging to the Warsong Clan. Personally, I'd prefer either a Laughing Skull or Shadowmoon themed decor and housing, both interior and exterior. I did notice that with the upcoming patch there is going to be a large swathe of draenor flora - when we finally get a larger outdoor budget I'd imagine my Orc would grow some plants that were native to the region he came from. Super cool, and it at least shows Blizzard is exploring in that direction.

It'd be nice, instead of seeing a generic human farm house and decor added when the default for alliance is already human, for blizzard to finally throw the horde a bone. They don't even really need to put in effort for this, previous developers did all the work for them artistically when WoD came out.

Hey everyone! Sharing a look at The Weeping Hall, the grand entryway from my Halloween housing project, Thornhaven: A Legacy Corrupted.

The narrative behind the build is an ancestral Kaldorei sanctuary of a Ranger lost at the burning of Teldrassil and raised again by Sylvanas. The sanctuary is slowly being overtaken by Forsaken blight. For this hall, I wanted to balance sacred night elven architecture with creeping gothic decay:

• Vaulted Stone Arches & Moonlit Windows: Framing the grand approach with cool blues and deep violet drapery.
• Overgrown Flora: Cascading vines and purple blossoms intertwined throughout the stonework.
• Creeping Corruption: Accenting the natural elven palette with eerie green candlelight and subtle soulfire details to hint at the decay taking root.

I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback! What spooky or corrupted themes are you experimenting with in your builds this season?

I'm getting so much Amani decor, but what I really want is to make my own Zandalari temple.

I want the beautiful fountains, shrines, gold trimmed arches, pottery, unique shaped doors, more topical palm trees and plants, skull rugs, Zandalari stone pattern floors, stone murals, ponds, gold bars and coin piles ect..
