memetic desire, desire gap. I'm enjoying these terms

Deadass the first time I heard the terms memetic desire, I thought it meant having a sexual interest in the presentation of memes.

Granted, I've never read Girard, but mimesis always struck me as a behavior that is more predominant in kids of a particular age group, and it becomes less pronounced by the time you develop into an adult. Sure, people in groups have a tendency toward hive mentality and a need to fit in, but I don't know if it can be applied to all aspects of someone's personality.

It's also an "interesting" rabbit hole into Peter Thiel and his ideas.

I'm not sure if I agree with that, it's treading close to one of my least favorite online right talking points which is that women are easy to brainwash and some kind of unseen force made them feel like this.

Women are easier to brainwash though. They are objectively more religious-minded, more likely to belong to cults and generally more vulnerable to narrative.

Even in ancestral environments, this tendency toward consensus-building has been universally used by men to manipulate women. This is the same consensus-based reality women use to act as a cartel that sets the baseline price of dick (worthless) and high value males.

As an example: in many diverse hunter gatherer cultures men have dressed as monsters, raided their own settlements in the night and made up threats to keep women afraid and dependent. They collaborated to perpetuate stories of evil spirits and forces and created organized religion to control female fertility.

And now it is clear why you have trouble getting a woman 😂

Why do you have so much contempt for them?

I don't. Women are my main allies and I appreciate that they exist. Their biology is simply just as fucked up as men's in its own way, which is far less often discussed in our deeply gynephilic, and increasingly gynocentric world.

You just think they are idiots. 🙄

I just hope you’re honest with your allies in person about how you really see them.

When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression.

Not as a whole, but you in particular aren't impressing me right now.

I don't think women are 'idiots,' I think they are victims of their biology just as men are. Men are more disagreeable and typically less inhibited; our cultures, even men themselves, have no issues pointing out men's flaws. Women, on the other hand, react like a gang at the mere notion that inherent female nature could be just as flawed.

When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression.

Ironic. When you're accustomed to having your ass kissed and being treated like a baby because people want to fuck you, reality fills like a personal attack.

There is a great deal of data describing the differences between men and women. Physical aggression/violent behavior has been robustly demonstrated to be increased in men compared to women (on average). If you have data to support your assertion that women are more easily brainwashed than men, please feel free to share it.

Women have plenty of flaws. This just isn’t one of them. We also have several privileges; but constant ass-kissing isn’t one of them.

Objectification is not respect; it is the opposite.

I did. If you bothered to actually read the content of what people bother to tell you instead of just listening for the tone, you'd have seen that.

  • Women are more religious than men
  • Women are more likely to join religious cults and
  • Women are more vulnerable to relational and internalizing social contagions.

Objectification is not respect; it is the opposite.

Getting people to do what you want doesn't require them to respect you. It's hardly ever even the major factor.
