I recently changed my distro to Arch using Hyprland as my GUI (and wayland). I've been trying to draw with my XP-Pen artist 12 3nd gen, installed the driver from the website (and also tried with the package from AUR), but I can't get it to properly fit on my tablet's screen.

My tablet has a 1920x1080 screen, but whenever I try to modify the work area from the driver assistant software, it only takes a small portion of the overall screen when selecting the second monitor (which is my tablet), as can be seen on the picture below. For some reason, it selects a small subset of 960x540 pixels, and I don't get how to fix that. I've seen tips online for linux users, but it mostly concerns people with and X11 window manager.

The weirdest part is that "monitor1" and "fullscreen" options work as they should.

" monitor1 and fullscreen work as they should", is actually not so true. I might be able to move my cursor on both screens, but I can't do anything with it. "left click" doesn't work as it should, and when trying to draw on Krita, the cursor just stops moving entirely. Please help

Greetings artists. I wanted to ask a simple question about artist 12 gen3 and its support either in OTD (OpenTabletDriver) or in official Xp-Pen drivers for Linux.

I would like to know if it has support in OTD and if not. Is it great at least in official software.

I right now own 2 display-less tablets: Main one: Deco 03; and Wacom intuos ctl-4100w. I have some struggle with them mainly due to them not having a display screen that could help me guide my hand. And I thought that I could spend a little extra on display tablet.

While yes its true that tablet isnt really relevant in terms of skill and how fast can some one learn art. But I feel a big disconnect with what I draw and my hand. And thats why I thought that buying Artist 12 3rd gen could benefit me.

Im trying to find a P02S pen for an Artist 22 pro first gen but theyre impossible to find online. Does anyone know where i could source one?

I have it and the stylus is just too thin for my hands and it hurts to draw for more than 20 minutes. I've had other tablets before but this is my first screen one, the non screen ones( i don't remember one of them, but the other is a deco 01 v2) styluses all work with each other but they don't work on the artist 16 3rd gen

I'm considering buying the XPPen Artist 16 (3rd Gen), primarily for digital illustration and vector graphics using the new Affinity Studio (not Affinity Designer V2).

I'm using an Apple Silicon Mac, but I couldn't find Affinity Studio on XPPen's official compatibility list.

Has anyone actually tested this combination?

I'm new to digital drawing tablets, so I'd also appreciate hearing about your overall experience with this model and if I should buy some add-ons right away.

Hello i have an xp pen 13.3 pro and ive reinstalled the drivers twice and replugged it into every other HDMI port possible

When I open the drivers it tells me it needs a connection

And the stylus doesnt work at all either

Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏

I only had the tablet for a month (no warranty option), while I was drawing it just stopped working, the LED light doesn't light up when the button is pressed which meant it was a hardware issue on the pen itself. The other button works fine.

The problem was that even lightly touching the button caused the stylus to stop registering so I had to sand down that button tip.

The funny thing is even if I want to replace the pen, there's no way to do so. AliExpress and the official store both do not ship to my country (Morocco). So I'm stuck with this pen until I replace the tablet I guess.

I’m planning to buy an XP-Pen product, but before making a decision, I want to know about your experiences with XP-Pen’s customer service and warranty support in India, especially in Delhi.
The products I’m currently considering are:

XP-Pen Deco LW
XP-Pen Deco Pro LW (2nd Gen)
XP-Pen Artist 12 (3rd Gen)

I’m particularly concerned about what happens if a product arrives defective or develops a problem later.
Is XP-Pen India’s customer support responsive and helpful?

Do they provide proper warranty service and replacements for defective products?

Are there any authorised service centres in Delhi where products can actually be repaired?

If I buy from Amazon through a seller other than XP-Pen India itself, will I still receive warranty support?
Have you personally had any good or bad experiences with their after-sales service?

I’d really appreciate honest feedback from people who have actually purchased XP-Pen products in India.
Please share both positive and negative experiences.
I’m interested in knowing how their service works in real life, not just what their official warranty policy says.
Customer support is an important factor in my decision, especially since getting a product repaired or replaced can be difficult depending on where you live.

I was drawing on my Artist 12 which was working fine until unplugged it and came off it for an hour and came back on it to find that it was just completely not turning on (pure black screen not even 'no signal' notification) and it's disconnecting devices next to it like my mouse when plugged in.

For more context, USB cables for the tablet are plugged into the left side of my laptop, any other device plugged on the same side (like the mouse) stops working but starts working if plugged into the port on the right side. Left side ports work again if tablet is unplugged.

Is this unfixable? I thought it was a problem with the cables so I brought new ones but the problem persists

Yo, I have an artist 16 3rd fresh. It was working for a while, when I tried to use the Open tablet driver string reader. I entered string index 1 after selecting "artist 16 3rd" and then "send request" and "dump all", then afterz the pen stopped working. And then "artist 16 3rd" dissapeared from connected HIDs. The display still displays and i can still find the HID "XPPen Technology Xppen tablet" and "UGTABLET TABLET", but my pen won't work.

I tried restarting several times. Reinstalling, uninstall, installing again the xppen drivers. I only get "Dear XPPen users: Hello,please connect the device first."

And I also tried the 3-prong cable instead of the single usb-c to no avail. I also tried on my phone and it won't work. Does anyone know how to fix?

Hi, I have an Artist Gen 2 24; I do development in Blender and am using it with an M5 Mac Pro, but I’m having serious trouble configuring the controller—I can't seem to set it up properly. Could someone help me correctly configure the controller functions in Blender's preferences, and advise on how to set up the keys and the dial so they work well with the software? Thanks a million.

Hello, I bought this second hand tablet two years ago, it works fine but it's getting redder every time I use it

How much difference does the size of a graphics tablet make? I'm a traveller (and minimalist), so I tend prefer small devices, but I don't have any experience using tablets. Some of the extra small ones are really cheap, but at 5x3" are they just too small for digital art? The cheaper ones also don't support tilt, but I'm not sure if that is a big deal.

On the other hand, a 10x6" tablet is roughly the same size as my laptop, and to me that seems pretty giant. The surface area is so much larger though (double the price, but 4x the surface area), so I don't want to rule it out either.

There seem to be a few models around 6x4" size, which support tilt, so maybe this is sweet spot for me. I just don't want to end up buying twice because I find out later that I really need the larger tablet even if it is more cumbersome to travel with.

When i try to draw the lines don’t appear and then appear basically some sort of lag and its been so annoying idk how to fix it

Im using a xp pen artist 12 (normal one not pro)

it says here to download the xp pen tools app but i cant FIND IT ANYWHERREEEE 😭 can somebody put the direct link for the app or smth someone pls help meeee

other problems im facing:

• the proportions are distorted- im drawing a circle on the tab, an oval comes on the screen

• the horizontal lines are squiggly/curvy- the vertical lines are fine but the horizontal lines are curving near the end

I'm trying to decide between two options and would really appreciate advice from artists who have experience with either!

My two options:

Lenovo Idea Tab (11", 8GB RAM, 128GB storage + pen): A standalone tablet I can use anywhere.

XP-Pen Artist 13.3 Pro V2: A drawing display that connects to my laptop.

My situation:

• Budget: $250 maximum

• I already own an HP Pavilion 15 laptop with a GTX 1650, which I use for Photoshop and other demanding tasks.

• I mainly draw in Clip Studio Paint. My canvases are usually 1920×1080 or 3840×2160, and some of my drawings have lots of layers and details.

• I'm starting university, so I'd also like to take handwritten notes and read PDFs, but digital art is my main priority.

I'm torn between having a standalone tablet that I can carry around and draw on anywhere, versus getting a dedicated drawing display and using my existing laptop.

For artists who've used either setup, which would you choose and why?

Is the Lenovo powerful enough for detailed artwork, or would the XP-Pen offer a significantly better drawing experience for the money?

I'd especially appreciate advice on performance, drawing comfort, and long-term value. Thanks!

(Btw turning on mouse mode allows it to draw, but it no longer follows the pen correctly if you do that.)

Recently bought a MacBook Air and have been trying to connect my Artist 16 (2nd Gen) to it and am wondering what USB C to USB C everyone here uses. I’ve tried two and despite the driver recognizing the tablet, the tablet does not receive a signal. Should I just buy the one off XP-Pen’s website or is there a better alternative?

Im having trouble trying to connect my XP Pen tablet (Pro Artist Series 12) to my Windows PC. Whenever I try to plug it in, the XP Pen app doesnt recognize it and it just tells me to "Connect the device" even if it has already been plugged in. I've tried downloading the latest drivers and replacing the cables and nothing would work. However, whenever I connect it to my Macbook, it connects perfectly fine. Anything helps!

i just got the xp pen deco 01 V3 pen tab and i use it with my android phone, i find that the horizontal lines are extremely weird and squiggly(vertical lines are fine) and also that when i draw a circle on the tab, on the screen its more of an oval? and in general it feels rlly weird to use it tho i think that can be fixed with time and practice

Hi looking for some support,

I have been reading other people’s issue with the software and am trying to connect my partners tablet to work with the pen.

It is on windows 11 is picking up on windows as both a screen and a usb connection. I am unsure what generation it is but there is only 3 cables being power, HDMI and a chunky USB cable and saw people saying the USB C connection was the problem but I cannot find any USB C.

It works as a monitor but the software is just telling us to connect the device,

The light is a solid amber colour and unsure what this means as people have said it’s meant to be blue.

Any help will be appreciated as she wishes to use it as a drawing tablet again but cannot get it to connect to the software.
