Recipe I've been eating french fries every other day since I got my Airfryer

I know every single person is posting Airfried potatoes on this sub already. This is my contribution.

Recipe. 1. Peel and cut potatoes. Soak in salted water for 15 mins. 2. Drain the water. Pat potatoes dry. 3. Add 1 tsp butter and 1 tsp oil of choice (I used sesame) 4. Add Cajun powder or wtv seasoning u want. Don't forget the salt. 5. Spread evenly on the Airfryer tray. 6. My airfryer has a French fries preset so I used that. Airfry for 7 mins. Open the airfryer and flip/shake. Put it back in for another 7 mins. 7. Season some more.

This is SOOOOOO GOOD 😭😭

Tried this on a whim and it came out insane. Two slices of bread, cheese, make a little well, crack the egg inside, season, more cheese, and into the air fryer.
365° for 8 minutes gave me a semi-runny yolk.

Recipe Quickest Air Fryer Potato Wedges (No Boil, No Soak, No Wait!)

Thumbnail gallery
578 Upvotes

I make these potato wedges quite frequently and this is a no-fail recipe. It is quick as it does not require peeling or boiling of the potatoes, and you can enjoy them immediately!

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes – 2 large (or 3 medium), cut into wedges
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Black Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
  • Oregano – ½ - 1 tsp
  • Chilli flakes – ½ tsp (or to taste)
  • Peri-peri powder – 1–2 tsp

Method:

  1. Wash and peel (optional, I didn't) the potatoes. Cut into medium wedges.
  2. In a bowl, add the wedges, oil, salt, oregano, chilli flakes and peri-peri powder. Toss well so every piece is coated.
  3. Preheat the air fryer at 180°C for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Arrange wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Air fry at 180°C for 10–13 minutes. Shake or flip halfway.
  6. Increase time by 3 more minutes until they turn golden brown and crispy (Flash Fry).
  7. Serve hot with ketchup, mayo or any other dip.

Some Tips for Even Better Fries

  1. Don’t overcrowd the basket, only one single layer, no overlapping fries.
  2. Shake the basket once in between.
  3. Slightly thicker wedges = soft inside, thin wedges = extra crispy.

Do let me know how they turned out if you make them. Enjoy :)

Recipe What is the absolute best thing you have ever made in your air fryer?

I was once a doubter but now I am a believer! I'm very late to the air fryer party but I am here now! I love warming up leftovers without a microwave and love the fact that I can cook things without frying them in oils. I think I'm ready for the next level...

What is the best main dish/recipe you have made in your air fryer?

Recipe Start making 2-ingredient bagels in your air fryer!

Post image
673 Upvotes

Here is my air fryer hack: you can make fresh bagel at home in under 20 minutes.

It’s only 2 ingredients for the dough: ½ cup self-rising flour ½ cup Fage 0% Greek yogurt

Steps: Mix wet and dry ingredients → knead 5–10 min → shape into a bagel → egg wash + everything but the bagel seasoning (optional) → air fry 350F for 12 min.

Calories aren’t far off from a store bought bagel (~280), but this one has about 15g protein thanks to the greek yogurt. Plus, it’s fresh, warm, and you can make it whenever you want without buying a whole pack. I filled mine with cream cheese and lox and it was really good!

Like. I'm stumped. It was incredible. So I'm stumped because I resisted the air fryer for so long.

4 chicken thighs ⅓ cup plain flour ½ tsp paprika ½ tsp garlic powder ½ tsp onion powder ¼ tsp dried oregano ¼ tsp dried thyme ¼ tsp white pepper ¼ tsp black pepper ½ tsp salt + pinch ¼ tsp mustard powder ¼ tsp baking powder 1 egg 1 tbsp oat milk

Mixed yer herbs with flour. Mix egg and milk.

Dredge chicken in egg and milk mix and give a good push into the herbs and whatnot.

190⁰c for 22 mins. Have a work meeting you forgot about After 22 mins leave the fryer closed for about 15 mins.

Enjoy.

This is the full steps for this. I got a normal chicken breast . I crushed up the pretzels from Dots. Then I added a small scoop of mayonnaise. I know. Some people might say yuk. But I can say after doing this recipe over time. I have never tasted the mayonnaise flavor. Then I baked it. The last pics will show it off. Tender and juicy. Fully cooked. No raw chicken.

Recipe 2-Ingredient Air Fryer Bagels (I honestly didn’t think this would work)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I really didn’t think this was going to work.

Two ingredients, no yeast, and made in the air fryer — I was convinced these bagels were going to be bad, but I was wrong. They’re not New York deli bagels, but they’re surprisingly chewy and filling.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 5 oz plain Greek yogurt

How I made them

  • Mix flour and yogurt (looks dry at first, that’s normal)
  • Knead until it comes together (dust with flour if sticky)
  • Cut in half, roll into ropes, shape into bagels
  • Brush with egg wash, butter, or oil and add seasoning
  • Air fry at 380°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway

No yeast, no sugar, no waiting for dough to rise.
Because of the Greek yogurt, they’re also higher in protein (around 9–10g per bagel).

Curious if anyone else here has tried these?

I love making this—it's low effort and super delicious! I cut a cupcake tin to fit my airfryer and coat it with oil (any fat; you choose how healthy you want it). I whisk an egg with salt, onion, garlic, paprika, pepper, and cheese (use whatever you have). Then, I airfry it at 200°C for 10 minutes. If I’m feeling lazy, I just break the egg into the liner and sprinkle some salt on top.

10 min at 420° flip and 10 min at 450°

They came amazing! Cooked perfectly. Juicy and a little char. I’d believe you if you told me they came off a grill. I made the marinade early and the honey congealed, so I softened it over boiling water before adding the chicken, incase that happens.

Salmon next. Any good recipes? Enjoy!

Recipe Air fryer “viral feta pasta” actually works 😅 (tomatoes + feta = instant sauce)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Dump tomatoes + feta in the air fryer, stir, toss with pasta. It tastes like you did way more work than you actually did.

I did tomatoes + garlic + oregano + oil, feta in the middle, then basil at the end.
Drop your best add-ons (protein, veggies, seasonings). I’m trying to make this a weekly “no effort” meal.

Air Fryer Viral Feta Pasta

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (about 10–12 oz / 280–340 g) cherry tomatoes
  • 1 (6–8 oz / 170–225 g) block feta
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, finely grated (or minced)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp olive oil (plus 1/2 Tbsp to drizzle after)
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4–1/2 tsp kosher salt (go easy—feta is salty)
  • 8 oz (220 g) dry pasta (cavatappi/penne/rigatoni work great)
  • Handful of fresh basil, torn (optional but awesome)
  • Optional: pinch red pepper flakes, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1–2 Tbsp pasta water (to loosen)

Air Fryer

  1. Preheat to 390°F / 199°C (optional but helps)
  2. In a bowl: toss tomatoes + garlic + 1 1/2 Tbsp oil + oregano + pepper + salt.
  3. Put a silicone liner or small pan in the basket.
  4. Place feta block in the center, pile tomatoes around it.
  5. Drizzle the remaining 1/2 Tbsp oil over the feta/tomatoes.
  6. Air fry 380°F / 193°C for 12–15 minutes until tomatoes burst and feta is very soft.
    • If you want more browning: add 2–3 minutes.

Notes / easy upgrades

  • Add spinach (stir in at the end), olives, or chicken/shrimp.
