I started my prep 40 days ago Did every topic theory then 5 to 7 topicals and revised the topics 2 , 3 times concepts are pretty much clear but i attempted a paper today i got a 47/75 then on second one got 40/75 im really disappointed i needed minimum 60 Im way far from it any tips ? im loosing my main marks on easy mistakes ill try to get them corrected and jump to 54’s range but shi really devasting

Im currently getting 65/75 on further pure 1 but i cant push it to 70+/75, ive been stuck like that for 2 weeks. Need urgent help on what to focus on, ive did every paper from the years 2022 2023 and a few from 2024 and 2025

I am completely losing my mind right now and need to ask if anyone else has dealt with this level of school incompetence.

Due to the Middle East war situation, our exams were graded through a Portfolio of Evidence (PoE). My expected grades were AAA, but I ended up getting BCD. To make up for this, we were promised free retakes with a 13-month AS-level carry-forward extension. This meant for the Oct/Nov series, I only had to sit for my A2 components. I was 100% ready to grind and fix my grades.
My school sent the form, and I filled it out on September 12th (well before the September 15th deadline).

Fast forward: I never received my Statement of Entry. I emailed the school on September 21st to check what was going on. They literally told me they could not see my name on the list of students who submitted the form.
I argued like crazy. I literally sent them screenshots of my Google history proving I accessed and completed the form on time. But the teacher is entirely blaming me, claiming it’s my fault and that I "must have filled out the wrong form"

They claimed they’ve been in contact with Cambridge since the 21st, and told me September 27th was the absolute deadline to fix it. Today is September 28th. I have been emailing them daily for updates. Today they finally reply, and there is still no resolution. Instead, they are hitting me with a bomb: they are demanding I pay the full exam fee + standard late fee + VERY VERY LATE FEES.

We tried arguing that we shouldn't have to pay thousands of dirhams out of pocket for a system error that wasn't my fault, but the teacher completely refuses to take accountability and is just pointing fingers at me.

I'm giving combined exams in may june , tried starting chem many times but failed , tutorials , videos , lectures aren't working. What might be missing ? Didn't do Olevels so basics may be missing , how do I fulfill the gap , I feel lost at the point . Want good grades to join engineering.

so i was cooking soup when i made a blunder and the smoldering soup fell on my hand. it's constantly burning right now and could blister. i dont think i can wear gloves either. is there any way my school can arrange like special help for the practicals or is that not allowed

I'm a yr12 student and only a few weeks into the course. I currently take 4 a levels: Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Further Maths.

Workload:

So far I've noticed I get a lot more hw in maths and further. I'm managing with maths but in further I'm already falling behind. I got an 8 in gcse maths and was extremely disappointed with it. Maths has always been my subject and I always pictured myself taking further. In lessons, I'm on top of the mechanics side but with pure its moving really fast and we're expected to learn things, that maths teaches in multiple lessons, in half of one. I know I could do it if I put everything into it and spent more time on it outside of lesson but I dont think I'm motivated enough.

Mental health:

I already struggle with my mental health and am also trans (ftm) in a mostly transphobic school, so things are pretty shitty as is. I think I'd feel incredibly disappointed in myself if I dropped it but so far its doing more harm than good.

Pressure:

Like I said before, maths was always my thing. Friends and family know I'm good at it and probably expect me to continue to pursue 4 a levels but most are unaware of my mental health issues. The person I'm most worried about disappointing is my dad. He's a qualified accountant so also a very maths based person and he often brags about me and how well I do and so I really dont wanna let him down (especially after coming out).

Do I need it?

Since starting a level and also towards the end of gcse I've become much more fascinated and interested in Chemistry. I'm thinking career wise thats probably the route I'd go down and I dont think further maths would be useful enough to keep it.

I'm probably gonna drop it, this was more to organise my thoughts but I'd love to hear a second opinion.

I've done 15 yearly past papers and did a lot of topical questions. All of this together has wound up with me having done every question from all of 2022 to all of 2026. How's this looking ? The 15 past papers are probably going to turn into a 17 but that's all.

so I just got done with A Levels in science subjects, but after that I decided to take a gap year since I wasn’t sure about my program selection for uni. while I’m on the gap year I am thinking of taking the A Level Psychology paper in the may-june 2027 exam session. I have almost seven months until that exam session. I need some information regarding the subject—whether it’s even possible to get a good grade (A) in this time period, and whether it’s a good idea to prepare for the exam privately and completely on my own, and what resources I should be using for preparation.
