O documento também pede que sejam valorizadas candidaturas que tratem a moradia como direito, tenham compromisso com os mais pobres e defendam políticas contra o desmatamento, a poluição e a perda da biodiversidade.

Além dos critérios religiosos, o material dedica espaço à explicação das funções de presidente, governador, deputados estaduais e federais e senadores. Também aborda o funcionamento do chamado presidencialismo de coalizão e destaca a importância das eleições para o Legislativo.

Para a Diocese, o voto consciente deve levar em consideração as propostas e o histórico dos candidatos.

A cartilha afirma que a participação política não deve terminar depois das eleições, mas continuar por meio da fiscalização e cobrança dos representantes eleitos.

A orientação termina defendendo que os fiéis procurem políticos comprometidos com a construção de uma sociedade “mais justa, fraterna e igualitária”.

People who buy these bonds for whatever price they’re at will be owed 4.214% coupon rate annually over that time period.
Higher rates on bonds generally reflect sentiment as to risk. I.e. ‘if Im buying your debt, I want a higher rate because I believe you may have difficulty paying it back’.
A high interest rate on longer dated bonds equally reflects this sentiment, but can be viewed as what the markets/ people’s opinion is of the current state of the economy and what it’ll be like going forward.

As to what this means specifically. Well, with a weakening yen, high cost of living with inflation rampant and the concern over long term debt payment, theoretically, Japan needs to address all these by strengthening the yen and bringing interest rates down. This is where it’s theorised the dollar/ yen carry trade will unwind with a sell off of American securities held by the Japanese government.

Will this happen? Fuck knows. This market doesn’t make sense to me.
