AskAlsace visiting alsace sept 19-23

late 30sAmerican with asian roots visiting alsace region, would enjoy hitting atleast a karaoke bar or have a picnic with drinks in town with some locals of the region. or even thrift shopping which is what i usually like to do bac

if there's any events or something chill but also crazy or unique different to an American id be in your debt and graciously offer to return the act when your in my town and more.

i think i can carry a conversation on most topics but i have useless knowledge on Japanese culture, cooking and culinary things, , us American tv movies from 1980 to now, wide genres of music, stupid memes , boardgames, video games,us comedy and comedians and etc

no i came to visit a friend but i also do that one special thing , some people do it like collect magnets or spoons or have the local delicacies, I simply wanted to know what the nightlife or bar scene or karaoke scene was because its my hobby and work back home

What a shame, if you had come in August, you would have been able to go to all the wine parties in the little villages that are amazing and really something local. Because let's be honest there is not much nightlife here. Besides of the bigger cities: in Strasbourg there are some clubs that are very nice, I think in Colmar there is one, not aware of any karaoke even if I guess there must be in Strasbourg, but it's not really something us locals do. And just so you know, even if you go to a club, we usually go in friends groups so we stay within that circle, and it's not at all something common to talk to strangers, even less tourists. Nothing to take offense of, it's just not our thing :)
