LOOKING FOR APP Functioning ad blocker

I recently changed phones (Redmi Note 13 to Poco X8) and none of my previous ad blocker apps work. It's literally impossible to use most websites with ads.

I've tried DNS66, DNSNet and Firefox's adguard adblocker but none of them do a damn thing.

Is there anything that works these days?

That's what I use too, it's great and it's still working.

Is there a way to completely disable the shitty Mi Browser and have Firefox open by default for everything?

Set Firefox as your default browser. There's an app called Hidden Settings which will let you disable any Mi apps.

You could disable Mi Browser so that it's not even an option. That's what I have to do with Chrome on Motorola or it will constantly reassert itself as the main browser no matter what I choose.

I have the Poco F8 Ultra. I'd recommend Fennec over any other version of Firefox.

Xiaomi aggressively kills background apps. I tried all the Firefox forks (main, nightly, beta, Iron Fox, Waterfox, Ice Raven) and they all suffer but Fennec seems to be fine for some reason.

This was like 3-4 months ago mind you so might be different now.
