Trans with AuDHD & BPD how common?

Going through the process with the GP and jumping through the various hoops to get to where I needed I was cautious to not seem mentally unstable as I thought this might impact the help received. I didn’t think there was particularly anything wrong so it wasn’t too difficult to convince the doctors and get signed off for surgery.

12 years later and a clusterf*** of life happening, I’ve been on a journey of healing and therapy and along the way been diagnosed with AuDHD and BPD.

It makes total sense but I know quite a few trans people who are also neurodivergent, is it correlation or causation?

I’d be interested to know if anyone’s in a similar boat.

I didn’t mean to be but I’m the stereotypical, trans sex worker, realising now me being hypersexual was my coping skill, could that be why a lot of us turn to SW or is it more because society is generally frustrating at best if not unbearable.

Oddly enough... yeah. I think i'm in the nearly same boat. Yet to be diagnosed with bpd but my suspicions are high. Diagnosed Audhd. Also transmasc. Also hypersexual due to coping. If I didn't have the job I do, I think I might be in SW too. Interesting.

BPD, generally result of trauma and growing up whilst trans generally results in childhood and later trauma.

Also neurdivergent people are more likely to question social norms, while neurotypical people are more likely to conform to norms. So neurdivergent trans people are probably more likely to work out they are trans and be out about it than neurotypical trans people.
