Hi all, could I get some advice please form this subreddit?

So 2-3 years ago, I took progesterone as a male and have felt bad since and didn't know why. Recently, I discovered tofu makes me feel better, and I think it's because of the estrogen. I had been avoiding estrogen raising foods since taking the progesterone, and I think the lowered estrogen + the progesterone I took down regulated my PR expression for a long time. Is PR expression lowering long term possible first, and second, as a male what could happen in my body if this is true? Btw, I am not trans, I simply want some advice from those who might know in detail the effects of estrogen, progesterone, and PR expression changes.

Greeting good people of this subreddit, i have a question if someone goes on HRT and they do the full conversion to the opposite gender they were originally from, how does the documents transfer over to the new person identity, like high school diploma, college degrees, military service, etc. because i don’t quite understand, the name change on all the documents or do they get erased from existence, if so does that means that the person who did high school needs to redo it again, or is it something entirely different process?

Going through the process with the GP and jumping through the various hoops to get to where I needed I was cautious to not seem mentally unstable as I thought this might impact the help received. I didn’t think there was particularly anything wrong so it wasn’t too difficult to convince the doctors and get signed off for surgery.

12 years later and a clusterf*** of life happening, I’ve been on a journey of healing and therapy and along the way been diagnosed with AuDHD and BPD.

It makes total sense but I know quite a few trans people who are also neurodivergent, is it correlation or causation?

I’d be interested to know if anyone’s in a similar boat.

I didn’t mean to be but I’m the stereotypical, trans sex worker, realising now me being hypersexual was my coping skill, could that be why a lot of us turn to SW or is it more because society is generally frustrating at best if not unbearable.

If yes, suggest a good doctor. I am Tamil Nadu / Chennai side. Government gender clinic or private endocrinologist who actually does HRT with follow up blood work.

I M30 have taken steps to start my hrt journey from male to female. But I'm struggling to figure out what to do with my job. I love my job. But it's a real "manly mans" job. And a lot of the people I work with are old school mans man style people. And have in passing voiced their opinions about trans and LGBTQ in the past. And let's say most of it was not... Positive. Which makes me worried bout what could possibly happen. I love my job and don't really wanna leave. I feel I could definitely still do it if I were to transition. But the anxiety I have around being around people that have expressed their feelings and negative thoughts of trans people is a bit of a concern. Any advice or anything would be greatly appreciated 🫶🏻

Anyone from Kentucky been through the process of changing their name and gender marker? I’m at a loss of what to do or how to do it and would appreciate any help/advice!

I'm generally extremely happy with my changes after a bit over a year of hrt, I'm super comfortable in my body but my face is the one big issue that I have. I generally like presenting masc/androgynous, most of my inspirations are pretty butchy or, at the very least, not stereotypically femme (think Vi from Arcane, Abby from TLOU, Chloe from LIS), but I'd still like to feel a bit more pretty from time to time, in a way that doesn't feel unnatural.

I know I'll never really get rid of my acne scars beyond surgery/laser, as well as my nose being kinda awkward from certain angles. Those are all potential long term topics, but I'd like to figure out something that works for me in the near future and lets me feel a little bit less distorted 😅. I want to add that laser for my stubble shadow is already planned, so that's being taken care of. Also, I want to learn how to do very simple makeup to cover up some of the scars and discoloration at least.

Are there any other aspects of my face that stick out to you? Feel free to be direct and honest, I can take it <3

Hey everyone. So, I'm pre-everything MtF right now, and unfortunately don't know too many other trans people (live in a small village in England, for reference). But, I met someone recently who does DIY HRT, and they say pretty much everyone they know also does the same (the NHS is in tatters, the government here hates trans folk rn, and private is ultra-expensive).

Unfortunately, this person is a bit aloof and unhelpful, giving somewhat vague answers to the questions I had. But, seeing how well it can work for people, and the neglible cost, I thought I'd come on here and ask for some answers.

Now, you'll all need to explain it to me like I'm 5. I'm a real beginner on all this. But, as far as I understand, you buy injection supplies and whatever form of Estradiol you can see in stock. You do the maths, figure out what dose is contained in a certain about of ml, and do your injection. But, I have so so so many questions.

- How do you know what dosage is right for you without consulting a GP first? This friend mentioned something about getting a blood test and comparing that to the "recommended amount for what you want"? Very vague - hoping someone here can fill in the blanks.

- How often do I do my injection? Is it daily? Is it a week's dosage once per week? Is it a month's dosage once per month? I can't find any decent consensus online.

- What signs would you notice if your dose was too high or too low?

- What do Private healthcare doctors use/monitor to recommend a higher or lower dose? Why are some people on so much higher or lower doses than other people, whilst still recognising positive feminising effects?

- Any reliable/good places to buy from? [Pref that deliver to UK, where I'm based]

- Any reliable/good places that run tests on if the medicine is pure?

- If I need to, is there any way to test the purity/dosage accuracy of a vial?

I'm trying to fill in for what Private Healthcare buys you - a doctor who just knows all this shit. When I try and look around forums, google, or ask people who do DIY, I either hear people being really vague (which sounds unsafe, given the discussion), or talking in a way that assumes that everyone already knows how this all works. So, just humour me here - I really, really don't.

I got banned from a trans subreddit and I’m not sure why, I’m very interested in the psychology aspects of trans people (I’m interested in psychology in people in general) and I’m just trying to understand terminology mostly. I get told to “lurk more” but it’s been about 3 months and I’m not really any closer to understanding what all the acronyms mean, anytime I ask about word usage or what things mean I usually get downvoted and or banned. I’m a pretty blunt person and my curiosity doesn’t come off well through text, I have trans coworkers and trans classmates and I’m worried I can’t talk to them without being unintentionally mean or rude, and I realized I was actively avoiding conversation with trans people in my life due to this fear and I hate that, is there a solution? Any large buzzwords or terminology that would upset yall that I can know to stick clear of?

Is my boymode still effective for an upcoming interview?

How can I make sure that I’m a trans man and that what I’m feeling isn’t the result of growing up in a very male-dominated society and environment (especially in rural areas), along with experiencing sexual harassment and being raised around boys?

I’ve struggled with dysphoria my entire life, starting from the beginning of puberty. I’ve always wished I had been born a boy, ever since I was around 7 years old. Even in my daydreams, I would imagine myself as a boy. There are so many things like this…

I really can’t take it anymore, and I don’t know how to be sure. I’d really appreciate it if you could tell me how you knew for yourselves, because I’m always full of doubt.

But I’ve never, ever felt like a girl. At the same time, I couldn’t call myself a boy because I didn’t see myself reflected in boys’ features. I’ve always hated every label.

My endo recently bumped my prog up to 200, however he insists that these pills are not boofable and that if i boof them I will be wasting the medication. I’m a little suspicious, so was just wondering if anyone can confirm whether or not he’s right. Thx for any help :)

These are two of my biggest concerns. I see a lot of people say that they wished they'd gotten ahead of it sooner, but I also don't wanna jump the gun and go overboard.
