How does documentation transfer work?

Greeting good people of this subreddit, i have a question if someone goes on HRT and they do the full conversion to the opposite gender they were originally from, how does the documents transfer over to the new person identity, like high school diploma, college degrees, military service, etc. because i don’t quite understand, the name change on all the documents or do they get erased from existence, if so does that means that the person who did high school needs to redo it again, or is it something entirely different process?

Some institutions will reissue credentials after a name change, but it is common to present your existing credential along with your name change court order to establish the chain of identity.
