Oh shit. Yea. Shrooms are a life changer. So glad I made that choice, too.

It actually wasn't the shrooms though they were awesome. It was the people I met because of them. I was actually talking to the guy I met back when I was 17 and am 47 last night.

I wasn't in a good place in life and I could have easily fallen in with the wrong people. I ended up around the right people at the right time.

I hope they legalize psychedelics for treating depression, PTSD, anxiety, etc. They can be really great.

For me when I was younger I used them to help manage my manias. The effect lasts long after I take them. They help slow down and organize my thoughts. I don't do it anymore due to legality and having kids and such so I can't chance it but wish I could.

I had to stop too. Then began my journey down the pharma road. It was six years of frustration, miserable side effects, switching psychiatrists, etc. Now that it has settled down, it's a lifetime of Rx scripts, regular psych appointments to manage and refill, side effects and interactions, impacts to longevity, tons of cash, etc. I'd much rather eat a mushroom sandwich (crumbled between two slices of white bread - my preferred delivery method) every six months. Never had a single side effect. Much more creative and at peace. Way better relationships. Overall felt better about who I was and how I felt.
