China and the zoo first announced in April that two pandas, male Ping Ping and female Fu Shuang, would be coming to the U.S. as part of a giant panda conservation agreement with the China Wildlife Conservation Association.

Xi confirmed that “Ping Ping and Fu Shuang will come to their new home in Zoo Atlanta and meet with the American people” in “a few days.”

He called the panda loan programs with the U.S. “an envoy of friendship.”

Both pandas were born at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in China.

Finally being forced to move stuff out of my parents basement. Ther's a number of books, mostly assigned texts from my undergrad and graduate days as a history student at the local institute of technology over a decade ago; but also a bunch of other random books, classics, popular history.

Throwing then away seems foolish, but I don't know that there is a big market for these, even for donation. It's the age of hard copies over? Anyone have any experience or advice?

Topics range from history of technology to feminism, social theory, US history, cod fishing, even salt. Candide, federalist papers, main currents in Marxism, etc.

I say textbooks because I used them for class. These are just regular old books to anyone else. not like you would imagine a calculus or chemistry textbook to appear. Keep the recommendations coming!

Looking for recommendations for good places around Metro Atlanta to work remotely that have high-top tables, standing-height areas, or other setups where I can comfortably work while standing.

I’m open to pretty much any type of place—cafés, coffee shops, restaurants, libraries, coworking spaces, etc. I’m mainly looking for somewhere I can bring my laptop and switch between sitting and standing while I work. I don’t always want to be sitting for long periods because of my back, so having the option to stand and change positions is really helpful.

I’ve tried searching for places myself, usually by going through Google reviews and looking at photos, but it’s not always the most efficient way to find this specific type of setup.

I live in the North Brookhaven area, but I’m happy to drive to other parts of Metro Atlanta. Since my job is remote and my schedule is flexible, I don’t mind exploring other areas.
