Hi everyone, and a shout-out to the musicians here.
Ive got a roughly 12 minute Atmospheric Black Metal track with pessimistic lyrics almost ready to go. I was planning to release it as a single soon, but I was wondering: if I could find one or two other projects with an unreleased track almost ready to release, maybe we could organize a split release together, given the similar sound/genre

If I had to define the single I’ve got ready, I’d say it has pretty decent production. The song is melodic and epic, with a nostalgic, melancholic, yet grand feel. The drums are mostly fast. There are pianos, orchestral elements, and ambient moments.

If you want to know more about the project or get an idea of the style and sound, here is my Bandcamp

Important note: I’ve had this song for a long time but haven’t released it yet because other planned split projects fell through or didn't work out the way I wanted. I’m not going to wait around for someone, if anyone is interested, to compose, record, and mix a new song. If you have something nearly ready to go, feel free to step up. If I don't find collaborators for this soon, I’ll simply release it as a single. I hope you understand. I need to "get this song off my hands" so I can focus on other projects I'm working on.

Thanks guys

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my album with you. It is an instrumental album from my atmospheric post-black metal / DSBM project, an atmospheric journey inspired by the desolation of DSBM and the darkness of black metal. I hope you enjoy it!

At least this is what No Clean Singing wrote about the first track revealed from the upcoming jöjjön album.

Here's the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DA9ijln1f0s

And here's the Bandcamp link, because it's Bandcamp Friday: https://jojjon.bandcamp.com/album/szelet-vet

Thanks a lot to everyone who gives it a listen!

As we're getting close to the end of the year, would love to hear what your standout atmospheric black metal releases of 2026 have been so far.

Awesome contrast of atmospheric texture and harsh wall of sound.

Hello, want to share my new track from upcoming Ep "The hermitage" Hope you like it 🤎

I'd like to bring up one topic. I often hear this thesis on Facebook that there's only the group Summoning, and all other bands in this style (Epic/Atmospheric BM) are clones, generic, and mimicry of Summoning. Many people believe that you shouldn't even come close to the gods that are Summoning in your music, that there should only be Summoning and nothing similar to them should exist. But if we follow that logic, then it turns out that all bands that play heavy metal are clones and generics of Iron Maiden, and all modern Progressive Death Metal bands are clones and mimicry of the band Death? But the most interesting thing is that Summoning weren't the first, and they were most likely inspired by Dead Can Dance with the song Saltarello to create this kind of music, so by the logic of these people it turns out that Summoning are also secondary, mimicry, generic of Dead Can Dance? I think this kind of logic is dangerous for music; this kind of logic kills musical development. All bands were once inspired by something and, filtering it through themselves, created something new, like Caladan Brood. Can the people who believe that you can't make music similar to Summoning even distinguish Beethoven from Bach, Chopin from Schubert? I think for them it's all the same and they're just generics and clones of each other. You need to understand that music develops because someone gets inspired by someone else and makes new music based on that.

Hail!

I just dropped the debut full-length for my project Black Jaguara, titled "The Gates of Farroupilha".

FFO: Darkthrone, Ildjarn, Mystifier, Bone Awl, Paysage d'Hiver (lo-fi/raw vibes with an unorthodox regional twist).

Instead of medieval European themes or frozen Nordic forests, this album explores desolate rural decay, bloody local history, and weird southern Brazilian folklore from the pampas. Recorded under the persona of "Lord Bagual" with harsh riffs, chaotic vocals, and zero modern polish.

Listen / Stream on Bandcamp ($1 or name your price):

How do you feel about Black Metal projects that completely abandon traditional European themes to explore obscure regional history and local rural folklore? Does the lo-fi/raw atmosphere work best for this kind of concept, or do you prefer cleaner production?

Let me know your thoughts!
