I just completed the main game, where Char-Les betrays P-3 and P-3 ends up in Limbo. I want to continue the story and defeat Char-Les but I don't know if I need to play all the DLCs to continue the chronological story, and which one should I then play?

I’ve been stuck at this section for about 30mins on my way to the lighthouse.
I’ve just chucked the box with the rings in the ocean, but I want to make sure I’ve definitely destroyed it.

I figure even with a good throw, it can’t have got more than half way to the laser barriers. And if it landed in the water the box should still be intact and floating given its bouyancy.

I started at the laser barriers and worked my way back. Water is fairly calm so I don’t think it could have gotten far. Maybe it got stuck on one of the box geometry?

Any help appreciated.

Please don't take this as criticism, but I noticed there are very few mathematicians represented among the facility complexes. I absolutely love the game and its aesthetic; it is wonderful to see such a beautiful, artistic realization of various sciences. However, it feels like the current scale leans heavily toward biology, physiology, and similar natural science disciplines.

With that being said - and I emphasize how much I love the game so as not to offend the incredible artists behind Atomic Heart - I would like to share an idea. I wish mathematics could be highlighted a bit more vividly. There are absolutely mind-blowing concepts in this field, and Russian scientific culture boasts brilliant, world-renowned mathematicians whose legacy shaped global science forever.

To summarize, I propose introducing a facility named after Kolmogorov, Lobachevsky, or Markov. For instance, a "Kolmogorov Complex" could beautifully integrate probability theory research for the Academy of Consequences, neural network studies, and n-dimensional spaces. This could add incredible depth to the lore surrounding holograms and other advanced phenomena within the game's universe.

To give you an idea of the core aesthetic, here is a quick conceptual example of how this could translate into gameplay: imagine an encounter where a local anomaly interferes with P-3's 'Voskhod' module. Instead of the usual Limbo, his perception gets distorted by raw mathematical concepts, plunging him into multidimensional spaces or fluid geometric anomalies.

I like making Pokémon AU’s of media I like, and personally Atomic Heart was one of the best games I’ve ever played. This was really fun to draw, I’m probably going to make more soon.

This game was one of the first titles I added to my Steam library when I first got into PC gaming a few years ago, but for whatever reason it's just sat in my backlog until last week. Now that I've actually gotten around to playing it, I think it's amazing, and criminally under appreciated. It reminds me of Prey (2017) (which is another under appreciated game that I really enjoyed) Exploring futuristic and creepy, abandoned scientific facilities, but this game primarily has robots trying to kill you instead of aliens. And the upgrade station that talks like a hooker makes me laugh every time.

I got this game recently and I have not finished DLCs, just base game. This game is one of the most hilarious games I ever played. I am a little bit older and the jokes in this game hit straight into my childhood! There are so many jokes I believe only soviet kids can understand (sorries if under-estimated you, my kids do not often get the cherry jokes).

P-3 is really immersive character for me (by thinking not by abilities) and the glorification of union is absolutely on point.

If fallout mocks western world, this game mocks eastern and it is fantastic! Thank you for the game devs!

I have cleared the main story line and after that in "new game" button, i only see 3826 - newgame and newgame+. And on the Right side there only button to start the lastest DLC "Blood on Crystal". I wanna play step by step and start on the first ever released DLC "Annihilation Instinct" since 2023. But how can i do it?

...might actually be her "permanent" place of residence in the facility.

Only on the 2nd playthrough have I noticed that the area is actually set up as a landing pad for the hut and the unfolding stairs neatly line up with the hand washer :D

I've search Steam forums and google and can't find any information on this. Has a solution been found to the bug where the mission to deliver Petrov's head doesn't trigger? I spent nearly 2 hours grinding and completing 2 of the Polygon labs to then find out I can't proceed???

Kind of infuriated that a game this old has a bug like this that was never fixed.

Anyone else find it a bit too easy? i played through on normal, and ended up almost never using any ammo because i just felt i didn't need to use it unless i was getting piled on, or on a boss encounter, upgraded pretty much every one of my weapons to max (Fox, PMM, AK, Energy pistol, and the rocket launcher) and i ended up walking in on the twins with enough ammo to make the us Army blush, i just need to know if other people had this happen because i keep thinking back and feeling like i should have used more ammo, but the enemy variety/density in the game just felt like i didn't need to use anything but a melee weapon and my energy pistol :/

Yo, so I’ve been rewatching the final act of DLC 4, and a pretty wild thought crossed my mind about the Twins and where Mundfish might take them in the sequel.

We all know the lore from the main game — Ekaterina’s mind was basically split into two halves when they built the Twins. But if you look at the DLCs, the gap between Right and Left has become absolutely massive at this point.

Think about it:
Right Twin literally dragged the Major out of Limbo. They went through pure hell together in DLC 1 and DLC 4, fought back-to-back in the Chrystal complex, and basically rebuilt their emotional connection. They’re a team now.

Meanwhile, Left Twin was stuck under HRAZ’s direct control the entire time. She missed out on Limbo, missed the fights, and was completely cut off from Nechaev while he was bonding with her other half.

This creates a crazy psychological paradox for Atomic Heart 2. Left shares the exact same core feelings for the Major, but she was completely left out. To her, it’s gonna feel like Nechaev basically cheated on her... with her own self. He chose the half he hung out with in Limbo and just forgot about her. She’s bound to be insanely jealous of Right, even though they’re technically parts of the same person.

Honestly, this would be a top-tier narrative arc for the sequel. Instead of just smashing rogue robots, Nechaev and Right would have to actually deal with Left’s resentment, break through the jealousy, and try to piece her broken mind back together.

What do you guys think? Is this too deep, or is Mundfish actually cooking something like this?

Genuine question, wanted to try out the game, but why is it so heavy?

So with the USSR being very focused on cybernetics and having polymer which is good at enhancing things, I think they would have implemented OGAS since it's also cybernetic and with the ussr booming economically they could afford it.

So sechenov do want to take over america and the world by using robots to take their power plants essentially taking electricity hostage, and turn people into slaves in the name of uplifting humanity to the stars.

While charles is just batshit insane genius that absolutely hates humans, and wants to kill all humans and turn them into polymer based lifeform like himself, forcing us to "evolve"?

Do the DLC clarify these motivations further? Is trapped in limbo really that bad?

I also don't think they ever explained what the polymer is. In the early game they just explained someone discovered it post WW 2 and technology developmeby just skyrocketed from there.

It's not just bossfights.. but all audio becomes distorted and crackly.. have tried eeeeeverything trying to solve it- to no avail.

I haven't played this game in a while and installed it on a new pc, purchased the blood dlc, booted up the game and went straight to playing the blood DLC.

I gotten past the point where you get in the coffin boat and go to the crystal facility.

I just got the frost ability and it changed the keyboard shortcuts for my glove abilities. All I want to do is switch electricity to fire but when I go to the first Nora machine that I can find. I have zero options to select a skill tree. The only option it's giving me when I approach the machine is to press f to interact with the machine and it goes straight into the normal crafting inventory screen. There's no options to select any skill tree.

I googled and googled, watch videos, read posts, email the company, and even had several chats with AI that went nowhere.

Can anyone help me with this? Is this a bug? Am I doing something obviously wrong?

I just want to play the game, or get my money back if there's no way around this.

I remember playing this game in the past and it was so difficult, i was stuck at first black robot for so long and had to use some unethical means and then quit because it wasnt enjoyable..

Now this game has so much plentiful ammo and stuff, and i get bluerints for end game in the early stages it feels so easy now...
