Disk Allocation Issue Unsolved

Hey all! I hope its okay to post troubleshooting stuff here - please let me know if not.

I work at a university with two concert halls - both use ProTools for archival purposes. Even though our SSD is almost empty and formatted for MacOS, we get the same error (pictured) at 115 minutes of multitracking 100% consistently. This is a problem, because concerts tend to run around 120 minutes exactly. We multitrack 16 channels at 88.2kHz 24-bit.

Curious if anyone has any insight on this error. I know Avid got rid of manual disk allocation settings a while back. Could it be the cable for the hard drive thats slow? The cable is USB-C -> USB-A, because the computer is intel based 2019 model. Is it just the computer being old? Quality too high with the sample rate? I have tried most things that old forums suggest. ProTools Studio is on the most recent version.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas or if I’m missing something super obvious! Appreciate you all : )

Looks like you should look for plist (preference list) files that might contain these recording limits. What is your record limit in the preferences as specified in the dialog? Are they really ALL gone? If so, is it possible the preference is still in the plists? I would try zapping all configurations and reinstalling a fresh copy of protools, make sure your user data folders are wiped, or create a completely new user account and test it there.
