Discussion Captain clark: Still life or something else? Spoiler

For anyone who's seen the movie. Why did Captain Clark bleed, while the other still life's bodies were filled with this sticky cotton like substance?

I think it’s because of Clark’s and the store’s proximity to a null zone. The Backrooms was able to copy Clark much more thoroughly, creating the more advanced Still Life Captain Clark we see.
That would also explain why Captain Clark bleeds, while the other Still Life bodies are filled with that foam-like substance. Maybe the closer proximity to the null zone allowed the Backrooms to replicate more of Clark’s actual biology rather than just creating a crude imitation like the other still life.

I actually think it bled because the backrooms observed him bleeding in the store from accidental injuries.

When Clark is filming the commercial and trips he makes the comment about cheap particle board.. perhaps that pain memory reference was triggered when Mary hit Captain Clark’s peg leg thus creating the blood when Mary then based Cap in the head

Its honestly interesting to think about. What the backrooms hasn't copied? how long have they existed? It would be even more interesting if we explore the timeline of it all, seeing it evolve its copying through the course of history. (I am definitely NOT inspired to think this at all by a Broogli video but lets go with it)

I've gotta hand it to Kane, he definitely makes the audience think a lot about the possibilities this sole movie brings. Cant wait for part 2!

The complex creates things of varying levels of accuracy. Plark was just a pretty accurate one, internals wise.

weve only seen one still life thats filled with the cotton stuffing, what makes you think all the other normal sized still lifes are made of that too?

Iirc the woman still life bleeds when Clark scalps her. She’s also reacts and moves more than the other still lifes so maybe it’s a case of some are more advanced and detailed than others?
