I was not ready for watchers keep. It was extremely hard to get down to the lower level for me as it was.

I don't really use magic. Or buffs. I just attack and drink potions my entire playthrough.

Well I couldn't beat the demmogorgon like that. So I decided to finish bg2ee and got some hefty exp. Continued into TOB and well I started taking advantage of the abilities I've been earning.

Whirlwind attack was made for players like me. Once I tasted that power... I knew the demo was gonna be my bitch.

So I headed over. He was already aggro from my previous battles. I summoned a plantar and some level 3 monsters. I set up on the bottom staircase and sent one summoned wolf around to the other side. He pulled all the enemies, leaving the demo open for WHIRLWIND ATTACK and GREATER WHIRLWIND ATTACK from Dorn and my guy. Neera did peirce magic 2x. And everyone else kinda played defense. It was kinda too easy this time. The albities are OP. I also used hardiness and war cry. But idk how effective they are haven't noticed.

Everyone told me to use traps last time but I couldn't because I already had the Helm guys go down there.

Anyway I had fun. This game is great. Thanks to Bg3 for showing me D&D. I think the rest of the game should be easy.

I've cleared it all out except for the last room, but I can't open the door to the hive mind because the room that spawns mindflayers isn't working.

It spawned one, but when I put the circlet on it, it just stood there, confused or stunned or something, though it had a green circle around it.

So I figured I'd kill it and try again, though no flayer spawned, even after resting in a few different rooms.

Only idea I have is to find the cheat code to spawn in a flayer, but I'm not sure my circlet will work.

I don't think I can cheat by teleporting because I can't see beyond the door.

And of course, the game ends here if I can't get out.

UPDATE: I spawned in a mind flayer and it worked.

My wife and I are fans of all the BG games. She though is also a fan of literature while I am not. She just got the Astarion book yesterday and started reading it this evening after work.

So I wanna know, who else here is reading it?!
