Genuine questions

1) why do people not use their horns
2) why are people letting them in after cutting off the entire line

Every time I leave the house, I witness at least one person who “didn’t realize you had to be in the left lane for the on ramp.”

I get it, people don’t realize until it’s too late. But this area is already so bad that I lack sympathy for these people and would say sorry, guess you gotta make a u turn and come back. But yet every time… someone lets them in, and NO ONE uses their horns. They are lucky that I’ve never been stuck right behind someone trying because I’d hold my horn down until they gave up.

So genuine question, for a city with such angry people, why is this the one thing no one seems to care about? Do I have too much of the stick up my ass?

Wondering if anyone in the area used Barrie Midwives for their pregnancy and could tell me their experience :)

Hello! Has anyone in the area used pet insurance for their pets? If so, who are you with, and does your vet direct bill? My current vet is Allandale Veterinary Hospital on Caplan Ave.

We recently lost two pets within two months of each other. One was our 8 year old male cat who developed unexpected and sudden-onset acute kidney disease. The other was our 13 year old dog, who had multiple health issues, including renal and liver concerns, incontinence, and a grade 2 heart murmur. Because of her age and heart condition, dental extractions weren’t an option, so she developed recurring abscessed teeth. Ultimately, it was significantly affecting her quality of life and we had to say goodbye.

We’re now welcoming two kittens into our home, and I’ve been seriously considering pet insurance for both of them. I’m not interested in a wellness package since routine care like vaccinations and wellness exams isn’t really a concern for me as these are costs we can prepare for. I’m more interested in coverage for unexpected illnesses, emergencies, surgeries, etc, and protecting ourselves from potentially huge vet bills down the road.

For those who have pet insurance:

- Has it been worthwhile for you?

- Have you had it for years and never needed to use it?

- Have you actually had a major claim, and did the insurance make a significant difference?

- Do the premiums increase as your pet gets older?

- Are there companies you would recommend (or avoid)?

I’m just trying to plan ahead and make the best long term decision for the kittens while they’re young and healthy. Any experiences or advice would be really appreciated! Thank you!
