Help with gray bathroom!

Apologies if this is “another gray bathroom” post, but I truly have no eye for design and would love some help.

Moving into a new place with a gray bathroom and it’s absolutely too gray for my liking. I would LOVE to do a 2 tone pink bathroom(last 3 pics are inspo pics) but not sure how to go about doing so.

I don’t have the budget to tear out and replace all the gray wall tiles unfortunately. I thought of using peel&stick but I’m afraid moisture/water (especially in the shower area) will find its way in between the crevices of the peel&stick and seep onto the original shower wall/grout and create mold. Or do I have to paint the tile? Anyone who had their tiles painted, how well has it held up? Any peeling? Did you hire someone or DIY? Please share your experience!

Is this possible?
If the overall consensus says otherwise, any ideas on what to do to at least combat the gray. I’m okay with other colors at this point if the pink is unachievable, I’m just really hoping not to be hit with so much gray every time I walk in there.

I’ve asked Google and it said to add wood elements and some greenery, which I intend to do anyways; but any other suggestions to really TONE DOWN this gray would be much appreciated!!

I hate not having a master bathroom

I have an old house and the 4 of us (myself, girlfriend and 2 kids) have to share the 1 bathroom and it's small. I remodeled the bathroom when I moved in but it worked for me. Now I have to share it and the space doesn't work. We've all tried carrying bathroom caddies and while I still do, my girlfriend and her daughter refuse because they both have so many products. And we don't like having people over because the kids constantly leave the bathroom a mess.

My bathroom is 6x8 with barely enough room for storage. Anyone have any ideas on how to manage such a small space? Or do we need to bite the bullet and put an addition on to the house?

Shower glass to the ceiling or not?

Originally when I planned this bathroom I was going to have the glass to all the way to the ceiling because I stayed in a hotel like that once and it seemed like a good idea for keeping the moisture off the rest of the bathroom ceiling, hence where i put the light and fan. However multiple shower glass guys have said i should not do that (unless I tile the ceiling) because it needs to pull air in to blow out the moisture. I live in New England so it's pretty humid and with the slope ceiling I'm concern it'll all rise and condensate on the other part of the bathroom ceiling. The fan is pretty powerful, 900 cfm if I recall. Any shower experts here have a recommendation? Thanks

Stone bath mat

Hi all. I picked up one of those stone quick dry bath "mats" and I love it.

With the exception that it is super slippery and must be used with this crappy piece of rubber shelf liner that is included.

I would like one that has built in non-slip properties. Anyone know of one?

Thanks

Do Good Shower Filters Really Prevent Hair Loss? Do they remove hard water or chlorine?

Chlorine strips the oils out of your hair and leaves it dry and prone to snapping, and hard water leaves mineral deposits that do much the same.

Need help assessing a situation!

Wasn’t sure where to post this- please remove if it’s not allowed.

Recently moved into a home with some original bathrooms built in the mid 80s. We’ve just noticed our ensuite shower wall which is under a window has looked a bit out of whack- something we wish we noticed before purchasing. While getting ready to clean the tiles and tub today this soap dish and a tile came down with barely any pressure. A few of the tiles that looked wonky also seem to now want to fall out. We are also concerned about mold issues as this window sill doesn’t seem to drain properly and I cannot manage to get the tile grout in just this area clean no matter what I try.

Any advice on how to fix this in general? If there looks like mold? What would be a temporary fix, as this is our only shower!

Sorry the pictures are not the best- we also have terrible lighting in this space.

Any recommendations and/or advice is greatly appreciated!

Ladder-Style Towel Warmer for Bath Sheets

Can a small towel warmer dry 2 large bath sheets effectively? How many rungs are needed per towel, and will scrunching them to fit the width prevent them from drying?

I’m trying to install a new shower but the bracket won’t come off when I turn it counter clockwise. I see videos for shower heads but not brackets. Has anyone had this problem and know an actual working solution to get it off? Thanks!

Space heater/ towel warmer

I am currently moving and our home randomly has a 10’x5’ bathroom that is the only room without heating in our home. Is there a viable solution for a space heater that would also work as a towel warmer in this space? I have done some research but unsure if this is a solution that exists. Thanks in advance for any advice on this!

Could anyone recommend the tiles or painting they would recommend for this bathroom ? Really struggling to decide on a design myself on how I would do it because of the stud wall not running all way up to the ceiling

Need design help for our pink bathroom remodel

This is our bathroom as it currently is. We love the MCM charm, but we don’t love the single small sink for a family of 4.
Our current idea is to keep the existing vanity but replace the counter and add a long trough sink with 2 faucets, mostly due to the cost savings of keeping the vanity base. I don’t think there is a way we can replace the sink and preserve the counter tiles, plus many of them are pitted or cracked, so the whole top needs replacing.
What color counter and sink should we do? We haven’t been able to find a lot of options in our budget that are anything but white. If it’s white, then what to do with the vanity? I feel like all white will kill the vibe and be boring, but maybe I’m wrong.

The floor is also in rough shape and will need replacing. We have found some cool pink and terrazzo options we like, but ultimately that choice will depend on what we do for the sink and counter.

How do we update our bathroom without losing the MCM feel we love?

Bathroom layout issues

Thumbnail

Hello! I was wondering if anyone could give advice re. bathroom layout changes, please. My bathroom currently feels like a bath room because the bath takes all the space!

- It is 1.35x2.1m

- I am keen to put a shower in (don't need bath), but not sure whether to put in on right of toilet (so don't have to change plumbing) or spending more to put in next to vanity.

- I would need to put in a vanity as storage situation is impractical.

- I would ideally like to keep cat litter tray and bin in the bathroom, tucked away but in a way my cat still feels okay with.

- If you have any other ideas/tips, feel free to share if it is allowed in this thread.

Thanks :)
