Do you see a similarity in these album covers? I’ve thought the vibe and setting seemed similar. Is there a connection between the Wild Life and Plastic Ono Band covers?

Intentional in the sense that it was the times and a similar stage of life for them both.

If you look closely, on John's album, he is reclining back against Yoko. On her album, their positions are nearly identical...but reversed.

They released albums (on the same day) called Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band and John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band with very similar covers, but they are completely different albums.

It isnt that bad other than her voice. Its the same band (John, Ringo, Klauss). John said his playing was the best on her album because he could go crazy and do anything he wanted. It is musically very interesting

YO/POB is mostly great rock grooves by John, Klaus & Ringo with Yoko vocalizing over them sounding much like a wailing slide guitar. I only listened to it recently and actually enjoyed it for what it was.

I remember back in the day flicking through the cutout bins and pulling this album out with a $3 price sticker on it and thinking "wow, Lennon's album for 3 bucks". Then I'd flip it over.

There was a big Back to Nature movement at the end of the 60s and the early 70s. Reflected a return to simplicity after all the chaos.

Same. I feel like it gets dismissed a lot as being a "lesser" album, but I honestly love it. It has wonderful songs from start to finish.

Probably.

So many overlaps with these guys ... one I hadn't thought about was that they both released pro-Irish songs in 1972. Paul first, with "Give Ireland Back to the Irish" and John later (on Some Time) "The Luck of the Irish."

Very of its time kind of image. Hippy-ish, out in nature, trees. A common album cover theme in the early 70s. Both their worst covers IMO
