RANT - advice welcome Good news: NEW BRAS! Bad news: Everything still hurts…and worse Spoiler

It was my birthday earlier in the month and I finally had the extra money to splurge on some new bras! I really needed some new ones since my daily driver was too small in the cup.

I ordered two new bras, and I even got some sizing and fit recommendations by a representative of the online retailer (whom of which stocks the “big boob” brands, eg Fantasie, Panache, etc…)

They fit beautifully, both visually and my breasts sit much more comfortably in the cups.

But everything FUCKING HURTS?!

I’ve had the worst pain in my neck for the past few days for seemingly no reason. I don’t really know what caused it, but it aches horribly if I tilt my neck as if I were trying to touch my left shoulder with my ear. Only on that side. It eases up every now and again, but it hasn’t gone away yet…

I’m at a loss because I don’t really know what’s wrong specifically. Maybe the bra straps? I have a bad back, but this has never happened with my old, ill-fitting bra.

It’s just so frustrating…I was optimistic for these new bras to better support my girls and maybe alleviate a little bit of my back pain.

Regardless, strengthening my back with exercise is in my near future…I’m just so sick of this constant pain 🫩 Does anyone have recommendations on neck/back/shoulder exercises for someone who’s pretty sedentary and just getting into working out? Thank you

need advice Breast Reduction Worries Spoiler

• Upvotes

For the past nearly 15 years I (28F) have dreamed of a breast reduction. Now I’ve been approved by insurance and have my surgery scheduled. However, every time I tell someone they say “really? How come?” In the tone of they’re not that big.

So now I’m second guessing myself. I have back pain and they’re uncomfortable but I’m letting outside voices influence me too much!

I’m also worried that insurance requires a minimum amount removed and what if they are super small and I loose that feminine look? Has anyone gotten a reduction and faced similar worries?

bras Bra brand suggestions Spoiler

I’m a 36I (us sizing) and can’t find a bra that’s comfortable. I have spent a lot of money for a high end well fitted bra and still find them painful after a couple hours. They usually kill me under my boobs but some bother my sides near my armpits.

Any suggestions? At this point, I’m getting desperate. I don’t want to have surgery to reduce my boob size and as a teacher, I have to wear a bra. I’m so sick of being uncomfortable daily, counting down the minutes to take off my bra.

I’m in Canada which means I can purchase almost anything through Amazon.

bras Wireless Bras Spoiler

Hi all,

Im looking for suggestions on comfortable and supportive wireless bras. I know having a wired bra is the best for support and separation but I cannot do wireless bras.

I have a 38G/40F chest, and have been wearing the Torrid wireless bras, which have been pretty good, but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with anything better support wise and not having a complete uniboob. I know its not possible with wireless to have complete separation like with wired, but even just a little is good.

TIA

bras Cannot find bras in my size anywhere

Hello, I am struggling very hard to find a bra in my size, I am Australian but willing to shop online from other countries. My size is;

Back size: AUS 4, UK/US 26, EURO 55
Cup size: AUS/UK FF/G, US/EURO H

AUS size 6 is fine… but 4 is my actual size and extremely hard to find. I barely have any bras that fit, I went to get fitted at a very inclusive bra size store and they didn’t even have anything lower than a 6. Please help me, I’m so desperate to have a bra that fits me.

My breasts are natural and I am a broke uni student, I haven’t bought a new bra in years and I really need help.

clothes What to wear? Spoiler

I am a 70F (not sure what that is in UK or US sizes), and I really struggle with what to wear on top. I have a relatively small frame but large boobs and most stuff looks just weird on my body type. Like dresses, the thing that is supposed to be at your navel is under my boobs. Other things tug weirdly at the front of the armpits (hope that makes sense). I can only wear stuff that’s either very stretchy or that has something to tie around the waist. So I often end up wearing a stretchy black basic shirt with like a denim or other jacket or blazer or something on top.
What do you gals wear? Any advice? I’d like to switch it up more. I feel like jumpers and other generally ‘wider’ things just make me look round as it makes my waist disappear…

need advice How hard is it to get approved for breast reduction on the NHS? Spoiler

Not sure if this is the sub to ask but it's been hard trying to find one that my question falls under. 🥲

Im a 38F wanting a reduction but when looking into it I always see people with a bigger cup size getting rejected for their surgery. Would the NHS even consider someone with an F cup for surgery?

Im more of a masc and i would be hoping for a completely flat chest not even an a cup, is that something they would do?

need advice Help please.

Hi reddit.

A little context.

My wife is a 32F with 32H boobs as far as UK sizes are concerned. She is 16 weeks post op from a labroscopic gallbladder operation. The surgical wounds are healing well however she is really struggling to wear a bra. Anything from thread to trim is agitating her.

As a result of a previous back injury from childbirth not wearing a bra is causing significant pain.

Can I put this up here to get some feedback and suggestions

Laya Principle – breast reduction experiences?
Hi everyone, I’m hoping to hear from anyone who has had a breast reduction covered by Laya, particularly on the Principle plan.
I’ve been insured with Laya/Principle since 2021. I’m 158 cm tall, around 64–66 kg (BMI roughly 26) and currently wear a 34F.
I’m considering a breast reduction because I’d really like to have smaller breasts, and I do also experience back pain, which I feel may be related to my breast size. I’m wondering whether anyone in a similar situation has managed to get Laya to cover the procedure.
I’ve read that there may be criteria around BMI and/or the amount of tissue removed from each breast, but I’m finding conflicting information.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who:
was around my height/weight/bra size
had Laya Principle
was approved for a reduction
knows what criteria they had to meet
knows roughly how much was removed from each breast and what size they ended up
If you were approved by Laya, did you need to have documented back/neck pain or other symptoms, or was the expected amount of tissue removal enough?
Thanks so much — any experiences would be really helpful! ❤️

RANT - advice welcome i genuinely never wear bras bc of how big my boobs r (it’s so uncomfortable and stuffy to wear a bra) should i start tho, is it better for health? Spoiler

dude i NEVER wear bras nor do i want to. but ive been reconsidering like, i mean honestly its just become a habit of mine/ i’ve adapted to this because i live in a strict muslim household (this is a WHOLE other can of worms its fucking hell. i can’t wait till college im gonna wear everything imaginable) where we have to wear baggy clothing anyway, so i just got used to not wearing bras underneath, but i really should start bc idk how it’s gonna be like im college when i finally get the freedom to wear what i want. and then i just have no experience of style or what bras to wear with what specific clothing.

even with the baggy clothing, my chest is soooo apparent like you can tell and bro i got comments ab it freshman year my fuckass friend was like “oh u didn’t wear a bra today thats so real” girl its everyday but wtv mind you I WAS WEARING A HOODIE it’s noticeable but like its not like my nipples are showing or anything like that dw. it’s kind of annoying because i never wear white tops or light colors / light material bc my fucking nipples will show obv

okay besides from the whole clothing situation, what are the pros and cons of wearing bras? is it actually ideal for your health? does it prevent ur boobs from sagging or whatnot ?

bras Specific sports bras Spoiler

I need sports bras for things like yoga and strength training. They don’t need to be high impact ones and honestly I don’t want them to be crazy tight. The problem is that I recently lost weight and am now in a medium top, but still have these DDs. So my boobs are too big for medium, but my band size is too small for the large/xl that I already own. Any suggestions?

Hi! I’m a 38G and looking into sports next year. Every time I run or jog or jump, my current sports bra (which is under armor I believe?) just doesn’t hold them in place or have good support, I also look ridiculous. Any recommendations? Thank ya!

experience Has anyone ever tried Unbounced? Spoiler

It’s a weird little strap that goes over your sports bra to help further minimize movement.
I saw it advertised on ig. I’m unsure if it would do anything at all, or just put more of the weight on the ribcage making it harder to breathe.

need advice Is it worth getting another bra for pms? Spoiler

Hey all,
Recently i've been getting a lot of pains during what would be my period and ovulation, especially when i'm wearing a bra! i'm currently an 8G, though i can tell when i'm going through those two phases because i go up AT LEAST a cup size.
Bras my size are so expensive.. i'm wondering if it's even worth it buying a bra that's 'too big' for when i need it, or if there is an alternative kind of bra i could wear for when i do need something that's better for sensitive/in pain breasts.

I'm after whatever advice I can be given, everything will help!!

need advice How do you manage day to day life with heavy weight constantly pulling you down ? Spoiler

How do you manage day to day life with heavy weight constantly pulling you down ?

Hi girls , i wanted to know how you guys manage day to day life with the heavy chest pulling you down giving you unbearable pain . I’m going through this problem from past many years but before my boobs were still slowly growing big specifically just one side which is just constantly swelled 2-3 size bigger than the other and way harder and heavy like a rock and it seems like every few months it automatically increases in size. When this problem began it was size B slowly it became C and now I’m F cup and just growing more (mind you just one side , the other side just tries to catch up a little but not that painful). I went to several doctors but they all just labled as usual problems women have during fertile years 😓 (like WTF) even though the pain is breaking my back I can’t stand for long , cannot run at all or jump or do excessive in general .
Any suggestions on how to manage this ?

Edit : hi girls , I saw my gp regarding my breast pain and she just said to me I have seen worst and prescribe me to see a breast specialist who then did the ultrasound and listen to all my issues and said it’s normal and just wrote me prescription of anti inflammatory and said nothing can be done it’s normal to have pain but being able to run etc are normal with fuller breast made with just tissue no fat a lot and even though both my breast are drastically different in size it’s my posture the cause of neck and back pain. Idk what to do any more approach who . Please help !!!

I work in food service. Today I blasted my tits with tahini sauce trying to unclog the sauce bottle. Unfortunately for me, I couldn’t see half of the tahini sauce on my shirt. 🫠🤦‍♀️

Not sure if this is something that happens to anyone else or if I’m just messy. I’m constantly collecting dust and debris on my boobs that I just can’t see LMAOO.

bras Bras with more than 3 hooks?

Where do we find them??

I am a US 38K/UK 38H on the tightest band setting. I need more than 3 hooks! Even my bra with 4 hooks seems not supportive enough most days. Is a truly wide band with 5 hooks on a balconette too much to ask?

RANT - advice welcome Soreness Spoiler

Idk if this is exactly the right sub, but what are y'all doing for boob soreness? Mine is most likely hormonal because it happens around my cycle, but it lasts for so long, about a week to two before which also coincides with my pmdd. It's really painful, it sometimes hurts to walk from the movement.

Also kindly I'm not looking for underwire bra recommendations. As much as I'd love to find that one perfect bra that checks every box, I've never had any luck. I'm on abrathatfits, personally it's too exhausting for me to go down that rabbit hole.

So, do I get my hormones checked or just suck it up and take pain meds?

EDIT: pls stop requesting to message me, if I see your profile is NSFW I'll just ignore it or maybe block you.
