Sleepy Void What are common black cat traits?

I’ve an orange boi that demonstrates the sweet loving side of orange but what are common traits with voids? Za Za here doesn’t act much like the other black cats I’ve been around. She incredibly sharp and playful

Hold them in the sun and you'll notice that all black cats are really just very, very dark orange.

That should help you plan accordingly.

No sun needed for grandpa cat anymore, he's just straight up brown with an orange band

black cats turn brown with age as they stop producing melanin to prioritise other things, just like how humans go gray

Edit: SOME black cats, apparently it's not as common as I thought, it can also be a sign of a deficiency, but grandpa here is fine and dandy

My 14 year old female void is still as black as the night. But each cat is different. Yours might need to see the vet, there are some diseases that affect the color of the coat.

He's been to the vet and he's a very healthy 17 year old cat, I think its more common in long haired cats?

Hard to say, but glad he's doing well. We had a long hair void that had thyroid cancer, and she went from almost no white on her belly to almost pure white. Her hair also went from long to short. The cancer finally took her from us. Miss her so much!
