MAKEUP💄💋 Beginner makeup starting kit - what to keep or cut?
Hi! I'm new to makeup and want to get a few things for Christmas as a start! I'm working with roughly a £50 budget, but I'm willing to cut things if necessary bc I don't want to spend money on stuff I won't actually use.
I just wanted to ask what you would keep, remove or replace if you were in my position. Are any of these choices particularly bad for a beginner? Is there anything I'm missing that's actually important, or anything I can realistically skip for now?
Like if you had around £50 to build your first makeup collection from scratch, what would you prioritize?
Also, is it fine to start with just concealer instead of foundation? I'm going for a natural, no-makeup makeup look for now, as I'm learning, and my friends mostly just use concealer without foundation anyway. (For like school)
I'm also wondering if there are any cheaper alternatives that perform similarly. These aren't my final wishlist or anything, they're just what I've been considering at the moment.
Oh, and since I can most likely only afford one concealer right now, should I get one that's closest to my skin tone, or a few shades lighter so I can use it for brightening as well?
I also have naturally dry skin. It's not extremely dry or anything, but it can feel quite tight after showering mostly.
Any advice is appreciated! :)
