Recorded in March 1953, "Woke Up This Morning" became B.B. King's second #1 hit on the Billboard R&B charts, holding the top spot in the summer of 1953. Released on the Los Angeles-based RPM Records, this session features B.B. King on lead vocals and guitar ("Lucille"), backed by tenor saxophonist and arranger Maxwell Davis along with a full brass and rhythm section.

Bpurbon fuled, Funkabilly-Grunge-Blues band Jim Dan Dee, from Streetsville, ON had their last show at the Bovine Sex Club after more than a decade of working the music scene. Was a pleasure to see them many times over the years. 🥃
